Rewatch Oz - Dr Who: Sea Devils - 12th MAR
trevor travis
The Sea Devils aren't really called the Sea Devils - it's the babbling of a crazy man. I wonder if the writer of Warriors On The Cheap knows that Wink

I guess part of the agreement of having the Navy help with filming of the story, was having sympathetic characters from the Navy. Hence Hart and the rest.

Apparently it's one of the chaps from the Radiophonic Workshop. Barry Letts didn't like the music and went back to using Dudley Simpson. The Radiophonic Workshop didn't get used again until JNT came in and sacked Dudley.

Trenchard is very badly misguided, to say the least.

What the heck is the Master watching?

The Clangers, children's TV show.

Yesterday in a toy shop, hubby & I spotted a Froglet colour-changing nightlight, which he promptly bought for my birthday in 10 months time. It's gorgeous, and actually cheaper than on Amazon! Froglet

Is the fort a location or a studio, I wonder. It's very good.

Not watching the ep, but the Sea Forts are real and some of them are visit-able.

On holiday on the Isle of Wight in '98, Hubby & I had a daytrip to Spitbank Fort, which was a museum at the time. It wasn't the one used for Doctor Who, which by then was already in private hands. But they may well have used the real interiors when making Sea Devils.

You can stay in some of them and have events there too.

Fascinating relics from history.. Its good that they are used otherwise nature will reclaim 'em if the Sea Devils don't first Pfft

Wasn't the episode locations at HMS St George the Portsmouth naval base? The Fort used I believe was No Mans Land Sea Fort. But they are a very similar configuration and layout.

Found it! The fort they used in the Sea Devils was called "No Man's Land Fort".

Nice finds, TT! I knew it wasn't the fort we went to, but they're all brilliant anyway - marvels of Victorian construction.
