I know TT. Could we make the funny/best bits stand out/highlight them?

That might be an idea - for me to go through and pick out the shorter, sharper one-liners. Travisina did ask me to turn the whole thing into articles at the time (one per season), but they were very big and I think that would have caused problems. But an edited version could work.

Maybe, in the meantime, the four threads could be pinned to bring them back to the top?

Season Barney now pinned and bumped on to the front page. I'll do the rest after the rewatch.

Sounds like a plan Grin

TT's wonderful compilation works well as a standalone thread, but it might be fun to start a new item inviting members to submit their own favourite lines.

Sounds like an idea.

It could end up a bit Avon and Vila dominated, since I reckon leading contenders for this episode would be:

VILA: “So why did they pick on me?”
AVON: “I doubt if it was personal, Vila.”
VILA: “It felt personal. It always feels personal when someone tries to kill me.”

VILA: “When you get Zen working, ask him to prescribe something for a headache, will you? I've got this shocking pain right behind the eyes.”
AVON: “Have you considered amputation?”

“If it ever comes to a showdown, my money's on Blake. Well, half of it. I'll put the other half on Avon.” (VILA to JENNA)

AVON: “It's saving us for something.”
VILA: “Dinner?”

Interesting that they are sat THAT close together.

The federation officers costumes seem a little different in this episode. There seems to be a plastic overlay for starters...

Maybe they needed to be sat that close so Avon could do the protective arm on Jenna when they stood up... or maybe it was chilly in that room!

Meegat, they're System guards. For once, it's not the Federation.

The System Guard costumes are extremely close to the guard costumes from Doctor Who: The Pirate Planet from a few months earlier. I wouldn't be surprised to find out they were the same costumes!! Grin

For this first episode of the season it's pretty action packed and full on. I can only imagine watching it when it had first come out.

Terry Nation was brilliant at writing action-packed episodes.

And ensemble pieces - this ep is great in giving every member of the crew a good amount of dialogue and action.
