Ahh it predates the internet, and dates back to the era of old dot matrix printers, Amstrad PCW's and photocopiers.

I actually typed it up some years ago. AFAIK it's not hosted anywhere online (nor would I sully our website with its hilarious awfulness) but if I can find it, I can send it to anyone who's interested.

yes please.
I have concluded that Jenna is Blake-aware, Blake is Avon-aware, Avon is self-aware and Gan is rarely aware. Vila is merely wary. Cally is frequently more away than aware.

I've no objection to the analogy. Avon is a thoroughbred....a magnificent Arabian Stallion...leader of the herd.....phew..going to lie down now!

well arabian stallions are actually pretty small and delicate compared to other horse breeds, so you have a point.

"Arabian horses have refined, wedge-shaped heads, a broad forehead, large eyes, large nostrils, and small muzzles."

well that definitely sounds familiar doesn't it?

a thoroughbred warhorse spoiled and fed on dates and camel milk. hmmmmmmmmmmm

Having just read the fic that President Solvite and Travisina allude to above...I never want to read another B7 shipping fic and I'm very glad that the show was devoid of romance or heaven knows what might have been written!!!
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

actually it's probably the ambiguity and lack of any overt romance that gets people's minds going. Fanfic, even of the "I need to bleach my eyes" kind, actually falls neatly into the long tradition of oral legends that is so innate to humanity. We are social animals who need stories and heroes. The ancient legends we still remember are the millenia old fanfic of the great heroes. The bad stuff dies, the good stuff gets passed on. WE are now just a lot better at transmitting it.

But humans are unchangeable.

That being said that particular piece of fanfic is hilariously bad, but then again compared to some of the stuff I've read it's pretty benign- it's just awful writing.

What if I told you I've read worse.
That being said this is a valid contestant for the Worst Fanfic Awards.

It succeeds on so many levels - the extreme Mary Sue protagonist, the weird mix of domestic romance and gratuitous violence, and the many spelling mistakes.

A Mary Sue of Force Awakens proportions.

Hardly, I don't think JJ Abrams, Laurance Kasdan or Michael Arndt are young women with long brown hair, so Rey's not a Mary Sue of anything like the same proportions.

But she doesn't have to be an image of them, she's a mary sue for public consumption.#
She couldn't be more generic Mary Sue if they tried.

Perhaps we should have a reading session at the next event. Maybe in the Pub.. but I think I'll need some drinks first to numb the brain cells.

That's right... I think we have it on an old Compulink share somewhere, and we did have it on a floppy disk too. Think we have a TN group still although haven't been on it for years.

No there's better things for Paul to recite.. I wouldn't inflict that tripe on any of our beloved cast.

Us fans are made of sterner stuff and it certainly would be a great ice breaker in the evening Grin Back in the day it was a sure-fire to secure adequate seating in the pub with our local B7 meeting group.
