One of the best audio adventures to emerge from Blakes 7 Media before production rights were granted to Big Finish, was the terrific 'Escape Velocity' which marked the end of that particular Blakes 7 audio range.

An explanation for how Zen came to be and escaped from 'The System'.

Mostly a background character, Zen certainly had the ships moments.

Tis a shame Zen never get's much of a mention. I'd love a nice bowl that could blink all the colours and shapes Zen flashes while talking.

In one episode Zen greets Gan and I at first thought he said 'Olag Gan', but on rewatching I'm pretty sure that he greets him with 'Ole, Gan!' I understand that PT was mischievous on set like this. Am I mishearing it?
Vila: Where are all the good guys?
Blake: You could be looking at them.
Avon: What a depressing thought!

Hi Rodney and welcome to Horizon. Maybe it's my hearing, but I hear him saying Olag Gan. But it would merit some of our members checking that out and reporting back what they heard!

Why can't Zen operate the teleport?

Actually I think it can, but there may be a risk of not getting teleported back on board.
Avon re-programmed Zen, making it react to direct instructions and which probably created errors that can give negative effect.

Orac will always do its utmost best to get the crew back, because it needs them in order to survive.

What is your thought about this?

*No, I am not. I am not expendable, I'm not stupid, and I'm not going.*

I agree with you.
