i'm a crossbow fan myself. But you can't hunt by crossbow in the UK
I have concluded that Jenna is Blake-aware, Blake is Avon-aware, Avon is self-aware and Gan is rarely aware. Vila is merely wary. Cally is frequently more away than aware.

Still playing catch up, such great entries, so little time.....

Work is keeping me busy this year!

@ Travisina - More puzzles, my brain is still hurting, but I'm saving this for the holiday break.

@ Littlesue - LOL, fantastic, I had images of Dawn French in my head as the story progressed, but I wouldn't argue with The Supreme Commander, if she said it was hers, it is most definitely@ hers!

@ Hugbot - Fabulous, LOL, great drawings, great humour. A Laseron nose, that works. Dayna's hidden depths - ooh-er! Gans limiter - superb. Smile

@ Information - Great story, fantastic drawing. Gosh, Servalan's Christmas Message, what a chilling thought.

@ Joe Dredd - How cool is that! I'm glad they don't actually exist, I would have to collect them and I have no more room!

@ Brad, Paula and Lorna - Ha Ha, wouldn't that just be fantastic, although I'm sure someone would insist on heading towards Del Grants place straight away in time for Christmas Lunch!

Brilliant Advent entries as always, will catch up more tomorrow............hopefully

OMG Brad! What did you do to me?
You do know that I can easily learn lines, don’t you?
Now I can stop singing your Fedmas carols with a big smile, preferably during warming-ups.
All musicians think I’m using a foreign language or there’s something pretty wrong with me now!
But I like your texts too much!

@ Mistletoe, what an illustrative, funny story! I had a good laugh about it, it sticks in my mind now and I dearly want to share it with someone. Pity that “Panto” is not a well-known tradition here, nobody would understand it… apart from not knowing about Blake’s 7, which may be worse.

Mistletoe, read your story again and revelled ( not THAT sort, Sue) in its details. Loved Gan as the Hairy Godmother and the description of "Studs" radiating scepticism is fab. Vila as a kleptomaniac Ugly Sister and Travis assaulting Blake with gingerbread as he harangues the group. And Tarrantmouse! ( pace Clare) So good.

( For some reason auto text rendered radiating as fadiarptung! Is that the German for it Hugbot? Or has it imbibed too much sherry?)

And Ellen such a warm, sad glimpse of pwb Gan. Captures him beautifully.
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Angry Angel
Aww, Ellen, it's got suddenly dusty in here. That's the only explanation for my eyes 'watering'. Thanks for that poignant little story.

@ Lurena - That jigsaw is very clever, I've had a quick go but run out of time on my break, will have a go later.

@ Hugbot - LOL, where do I send the Oscar! Superb work, must have taken ages. I couldn't have the sound up at work but put on the subtitles, fabulous stuff.

Wonderful stuff.

Aw, thanks for the nice comments re: Happily Ever After. It's much appreciated. I had a lot of fun writing that advent story.

@ Ellen: Beautiful short story!

Hugbot
Thank you all for your nice comments on my trolls and my puppet show! Glad that I could be of mirth making service!

I'm sorry that I did not comment on the Advent calendar, but it was a rather busy December for me. I had a fleeting glance at the entries nearly every morning, but I did not have the leisure to properly enjoy the stories, riddles etc. Now I have something to look forward to for Christmas! I know, that is not what an Advent calendar is for, but this way I will have lots of fun at Christmas!

My goodness Trevor, I thought Blake was bleak but your story..... the end of Christmas and the triumph of a set of right b****st**ds with the only cute thing a little bear covered in blood!! Oh my....where's the gin!!
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Thanks TT. Loved the story! Ho ho... ho! lol

Lurena
@ Ellen, thank you for your lovely and atmospheric short story. You know, you made the loss of Gan more bearable by writing about his wish to be together for all eternity with the woman he loved. I can believe they are together now.

@ TT ho...ho...ho.. a very pleasant revenge taken for "killing Christmas" so many years ago!

@ JustBrad - Fabulous, very clever and I have some of those tunes now lodged in my head! Smile

@ Mistletoe - Wonderful twist on a classic, would be nice to think Gan had a magic wand.

@Ellen - Lovely story, I wonder if the star Gan saw was The Liberator?

Fabulous stuff.

Thanks you. It is my fondest ambition to have at least one person's giggle echoing through a nave during a Christmas Eve Carol service.

@ TrevorTravis - You are now in the Chris Boucher bracket, the man who killed Father Christmas.
