Availability of the Blakes 7 custom number plate for your car in your region
Spaceresearcher
Hello all,
How excited was it to discover that the BLAKES7 number plate is actually available in my state here in Australia.

I was just wondering if there were other fans out there who have the BLAKES7 custom number plate available in there region of the world also?

Alas of course the price for custom number plates is not so exciting but it's rather cool to know there available.

Please do tell.

Oh another one I wouldn't mind would be the 'RYLOS' style number plate as seen on Alpha Centauri's 'Star Car' from the movie 'The Last Starfighter'. Smile

That's brilliant. A good trick as well. The closer you can make the number plate to ordinary, the less the cost.

Sneaky way to get the name you want. Way to go Nicola Mody. Alas the complete 'LIBERATOR' isn't possible in my area as your only allowed 7 characters(what a strange coincidence. do I detect a mad sad Blakes 7 fan spot there. Smile ).

Nice. I checked and it's available here.

I wonder if you can register a number plate from another country for collector car purposes?

Oh, you lucky people! Over here, it is not possible to get fancy number plates like these, due to the rigid German system: Every number plate begins with a one to three letter code for the city or district where the car is registered, followed by one or two letters and one to four digits. Some people try to get their initials in the second letter block, but that is the only form of customisation possible. (It is free, but depends on availability; and some offensive letter combinations like NS or SS are generally never issued.)

However, there is also good news: Every car registered in the city of Offenburg has a number plate starting with the name of our hero - OG!

Drat. Can you start with 'B7'?

There is absolutely no chance here:
Vehicle registration plates of the Netherlands have a(even more than in Germany) rigid sequence of characters composed of letters and digits.
The numbering scheme used bears no relation to the place of a vehicle's registration or ownership, and numbers – which are issued in strict time order –just identify the vehicle.
Dutch licence plate gives an indication of a car's age, but no information about where in the country the car comes from, or to whom it belongs.
Sad isn't it?
I used to compensate it by a B7 bumper sticker and later, when there was no place on the bumpers anymore, by a B7 Avon quote window sticker.
Lara&Sue's Blake's 7 stories
*No, I am not. I am not expendable, I'm not stupid, and I'm not going.*

In America, if you pay for a personalized plate, you get it as long as it's not rude or objectionable. Yes, the great American way- pay enough and you get what you want. Saying that, we have not ever had a personalized plate-our State gets enough of our tax dollars! But if we did.... Liberator and Scorpio for us.

So Sorry to hear that Lurena. Sounds like a Federation like government system there in the Netherlands. From one rebel to another, one day we will rise up against them. Smile

Very nice. You would probably have a stronger chance of getting Liberator over Scorpio(thanks to the star sign nuts).

I'm sure if you would like to customise your own personal transport. I think Diane may still have a few car stickers available. (sure I saw a few at the last RTGP)

I love Blake's 7 and My other car is a Scorpio

Much cheaper than a custom number plate and instantly making your vehicle more saleable Smile

Smile I'll be up for a few of those if they appear at Blake con next year. I'd like one of those 'ORAC on board', style displays.
