Happy to read that our friends are Home and Safe!
Sorry to hear that some of you had some trouble in transit.

Well now, I did NOT shoot the Hugbot after all....
Great pictures Hugbot!

And to say it once again: You all made me feel at home; I had a wonderful time. We do have a fantastic fandom with lovely people, don't we?

I'm so glad that, in these troubled times, everybody got home safely ( if not entirely without incident) and can't wait until next year's reunion!

Good to hear people are Down and Safe, both International and domestic.

Great photos Hugbot and Littlesue, it's like seeing it all again.

Lurena, thank you so much for my gift on Sunday morning, most kind and thoughtful, and very much appreciated, they were delicious. Grin

I want to thank not only those who put in the effort to put ON this highly enjoyable event (THANK YOU!) but those of you who've posted reviews & especially photos! THANK YOU!

I enjoyed myself very much at this event & it was great to see You-All & so many others there.
The Federation troopers were - WOW! (Too bad they hustled off so soon, but places to patrol I guess)
I really regret not taking my camera & snapping ++photos.

There were TWO attendees dressed as Blake - SpaceResearcher (it was GREAT to meet you!) & another fellow. IIRC *both* were in the same Season1 medium-green tabard & light-gold shirt, right?
How I wish someone had taken pix of them side by side!
(Or did someone? Can we see the pix?!)

And what about the young man Avon wandering about - I *loved* his late S3 costume (stud & silver-edged "Elvis" jacket, is that what one calls it?)
Did anyone get pictures of him?

And thanks to Andrew the other Costume fellow - we had a good chat about Avon's earlier S2 jacket (Grey leather with panels, front zipper) & he was kind enough to let the young man Avon try it on - wow! Anyone get pix of that??

Andrew was kind enough also to find me later & show me more detail about that jacket, I really appreciated him doing that (I guess we are both costume nerds!!)

Oh to go back in time & bring my blasted camera....

And a special thank you to meegat39 who was kind enough to give me a lift all the way home. You saved me TWO HOURS on the train+bus. Bless you meegat39!

2019 would be more sensible. The three-day Cygnus Alpha is already where all our overseas friends are planning to go.

Maybe so....but I would still love this Blake event to happen again. It reminded me so much of the old style conventions from the 80s.
It was just so much fun.

It was. It was my kind of convention.

My favourite two cons are RTPG3 and Blake.

Nothing like this will ever happen again - this was such a special event, not just a convention, that I don't think it could be replicated. I'm happy to have attended and even actively contributed towards the event, and it's going to take an effort to surpass this one. This was an event, a convention, and a tribute to a fine actor (and a gentleman) combined together. I didn't say much because... well... I didn't have a lot to say except for basic pleasantries, and I was also able to keep my tongue firmly in my cheek by not channeling my inner Joe Pesci (I tend to drop in curse words into everyday conversation when I'm nervous - ask anyone who knows me) - I didn't curse once at the event (I felt it would have been disrespectful and a little out of place). Thank you to meegat39 for chauffeuring me home (who I also reimbursed), thank you to the Blake crew for organising this special event, thank you to the guests and thank you to everybody who attended and made it that little extra bit special and unforgettable. Smile

It was a huge disappointment to me that Mistletoe and Clare's plans for the 40th clashed with Cygnus Alpha 4. Homegrown is so enjoyable and personal - though I do love the Cygnus Alpha events too. If anyone wants to do a homegrown event in 2019 and I'm still kicking count me in! No reason why we shouldn't celebrate 41 glorious years of B7!!

I've already started bending Mr Irvine's ear regarding next year's Smallspace being about 40 years of B7....I'll have another go next month!!!

I was really looking forward to going to Clare and Mistletoe's do. I was so sad that they decided not to go ahead.

Don't despair folks...I have plans to organise a celebratory location visit next year...I have yet to speak to others, but hopefully we can throw in something along the lines of a quiz or something else to increase the fun factor.

A very HUGE thank you to Anniew for giving Mr. Darrow copies of my Avon pictures at the Blake event... and for sending me signed copies which I just received in the mail this week!! (And look, look! Michael Keating too!)
I can't thank you enough.
Well, maybe some more... Thank you, thank you, thank you, etc. !! Grin

If I had the room, I'd get a marquee set up in the garden and have the DVD running in the front room showing selected episodes....and PC's Mum in the kitchen serving teas etc through my very 70's serving hatch!
What with some of Gary's costumes, Clanger's models and Exterminator's props....I can but dream.................
I'm afraid my finances next year will not stretch to CA, despite the offer of paying for the tickets in instalments.
I wonder if Brit SCI Fi will have a B7 theme in the Space Centre in Leicester next year??
We could always take over Steventon hall again, Clare, and wander up that hill again....the one I couldn't get up last timeGrinGrin

Here is a short video to announce the total raised by everyone at the BLAKE event for Alzheimer's Research UK.

https://youtu.be/...

A massive thank you to all members of Team Blake who worked so hard to make it happen, the extra effort paid off people. Smile

Our wonderful Guests, Paul, Michael, Stephen, June, Linda and Mat who were so very generous.

A massive thank you to every Attendee, Exhibitor, Volunteer and fellow Fan who supported the event so wholeheartedly making it such a memorable day for both the memory of Gareth Thomas and the incredible total raised for the charity.
