I'm very impressed by the amigurami characters. Are there any patterns? I would happily pay for them if there were; I can crochet to a pattern, but my brain goes into idiot mode at the prospect of customising something.

Thanks! I do sell patterns for all sorts of amigurumi (http://www.lucyra...r.etsy.com) but there's not much of a market for B7 characters, I'll have to sort something out for fans who can crochet.

I'm a fairly basic crocheter, but I know I could do these if I had a pattern. Even the basic doll pattern with some guidelines for customising them would do.

Your patterns are very sweet! I especially like the wee dachshund; I have two of them!

Thanks! I'm thinking of doing some sort of basic patterns, then adding customising details, it may take a while to sort it all out though.

It was awesome to finally meet you Lurena and thank you ever so much for the wonderful pictures of your artwork and for signing my book.

You're welcome Spaceresearcher, and the awesome feeling is mutual!
I read in the other thread that you were forced to have a loooooong journey home; I hope you can relax a bit now and look back on a wonderful time with your Blake's 7 friends with happiness in your heart.

Spaceresearcher I am so glad you got to come to Blake. One of the very best conventions of recent times I think.
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

The only reason I didn't say THE best is because the Return to Gauda Prime Steventon events were amazing too.

Oh yes, and this event built on their success. The venue is great for having space for different things, and gives a good opportunity to chat with your fellow fans.

Happy trails guys, as always it was lovely to see you.

I hope you had a great time and thank you so much for helping me out with your special delivery service.

I still have loads of those tasty Feldon Crystals as well Paula, they last forever, which is brilliant.

Down and safe back home, bit of a let down after the amazing trip. It is always at treat to see the Horizon gang. I'm so gad I got to be part of the Blake event; it was a lovely day and a fitting tribute to Gareth. And there was the bonus location visit (thanks to TT for organizing) and Monday visit to Aveburry with Mr and Mrs Olag and Spacereseacher. Then in London the dinner at the Parcel Yard (thanks to Travisina for organizing) and Space Spectacular concert (Clare did an admirable job of herding the cats). I can now say I've been to Prince Albert Hall and seen Darth Vader in the Queen's box. This one sets the bar high for future trips Smile

Down and safe in Flensburg ... at last.
I had a smooth flight, we landed on time, and I even got my suitcase back in no time. 'Great!' I thought. 'This way, I can even catch the 6.45 train and be home at 9.' However, the commuter trains from the airport to the main station did not run for quite a while because the police had to remove some idiots from the tracks. I barely caught the 7.45, but because of a signal box failure, they sent us on a never-ending odyssee via the backwater town of Henstedt-Ulzburg where don't want to be buried let alone wait for half an hour for the next train. Got finally home at midnight. Some days are better than others, section leader.
But I won't let that spoil the experience of the last week and a half - two weekends with my Horizon friends (and the lovely Horizon ladies!), two fantastic events and a highly enjoyable week at Lulworth Cove.
Piccies to follow ... off to bed now.

We made it back home again in Indiana.. after a 17 hour marathon trip. It nearly ended before it began with having taxi trouble because of the terror attack in Finbury the night before, but we made it to the airport and are now exhausted and resting, but filled with the love and good wishes of our friends, new and old. What a Blake Con weekend it was. We had the time of our lives and can't wait to do it all over again next year. My ankles are swollen twice their normal size at the moment and even with that I look at the photos we took and I can't stop smiling. Thank you to all our dear friends for their friendship, help, gifts, and lodging. We can never repay you! So gang- see you next year? It's never too early to start planning.
