RIP David Huddleston (1930-2016)
sweevo
American character actor David Huddleston has died at the age of 85. Huddleston, a native of Vinton, Virginia, was a prolific actor whose career spanned more than half a century. His most prolific roles included Olson Johnson in Mel Brooks's classic "Blazing Saddles" from 1974, and, perhaps most famously, the eponymous millionaire in the 1998 Coen Brothers classic "The Big Lebowski". I will leave you with a memorable quote from the Big L himself:

"Funny... I can look back on a life of achievement, on challenges met, competitors bested, obstacles overcome. Ive accomplished more than most men...What makes a man, Mr. Lebowski? Is it being prepared to do the right thing, whatever the cost?"

RIP, David... that rug really tied the room together, man. Sad

I really enjoyed his performance in Blazing Saddles. I've never seen The Big Lebowski, but coincidentally have just finished watching the TV series Preacher in which the characters keep discussing that movie.

RIP
