Whether or not it's what atomicmayo was referring to (was it?), I am in awe of those shoulder pads!

I loved GWAR back in the day. But the best song is Sick of you - the lyrics are really funny. Have a listen (and watch) can be accessed from your link Travisina and yes, there's a definite similarity!

I understand that they WERE Michelin Man (or to give him his proper name, Bibendum) costumes, with helmets provided by (presumably) the costume department. Cheaper to hire them than make something from scratch!

Interestingly, the white hemispherical "respirators" on the front of the helmets are the tops of "Airball" air fresheners!

June Hudson confirmed this at RTGP3. She found the costumes and thought, 'Lovely.'

I don't think at the time she realized it was a well known corporate mascot.

Oh, i loved any costume worn by Cally. The snugger the fit, the better!

What I like best are the weird names for the costumes that I guess people have come up with (in particular) Avon's wardrobe over the years?

Like the first time watching the show I kept calling what I guess folks refer to as 'The Ovenready' as the 'GLITTERY SPACE TUNIC'? And the weird shoulder-pad outfit he wears in Deathwatch will always be The GWAR Costume to me. XD

Pretty sure PD said he really didn't like that outfit- the shoulders are weird and it emphasizes how slight he was compared to all other male characters.
