I feel like I need a good glass of wine and to sit by a fire. It's rainy and cold here...

If you missed it, the illustration belongs to a March ficlet.

What about him? Is he in the picture somewhere? I can see a pretty lady, but are you saying there's something more to the picture?

Tut, tut, Joe...you are most fortunate that Lurena resides in Holland...Grin
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!

It should have been zingier but I wanted to make sure Lurena didn't think it was a comment on her likeness of Gan!

(All the drawings are excellent, by the way!)

Lurena
Hahaha... That's allright Joe Dredd Wink I'm not of the agressive kind; I would only fly over to your place to shake hands or hug, even though I'm trained Asian martial arts...
Thank you for the compliment on my drawing skills.
Now I'm curious to read your comment on this illustration.
It belongs to Littlesue's and my September ficlet.

Incongruous!

It's an excellent likeness and very well executed, but Vila with a violin isn't a pairing I would have imagined. I will have to read the story!

What do you think, Winnie?

President Solvite
I think Vila had many hidden talents..

With saw his skills with sleight of hand and tricks, it wouldn't surprise me he was a closet maestro too!

Very nice artwork btw Lurena Smile

Violin is a difficult discipline. I don't see Vila having the patience to master it. Then again, there are such things as musical savants.

BradPaula
As much as I admire Lurena's talent in drawing I'd think Vila would be the type to play the drums. Just think- Ringo, Keith Moon... need I say more? NO offense Sue or Lurena! Grin

Lure a you always capture Vila perfectly and I think Fiddling is a perfect metaphor for Vila's hobbies!

I was quite surprised to learn that Vila tries to play the violin, but it makes perfect sense for me: (a) He gets his kicks out of stealing and outwitting the security specialists. That is the exciting part of his life. In his spare time, he would select something more soothing. Actually, I can't see him playing drums. (b) Picking complicated locks requires patience and devotion (as seen in City). If Vila wants to learn playing the violin, I am sure he will eventually succeed.
Of course his crewmates will have to endure his practising for quite a long time ...

Lovely picture Lurena and Vila has hidden depths, which conceal many skills and talents...

Not to mention a violin, which conceals the miniature he stole from Avon's cabin.

I'm sure that's why Vila plays the violin - it gives him an excuse to carry something around he can conceal small objects in.

Great explanation Joe! Yes all his mini lego figures are in there! Grin

I was thinking more along the lines of those single-serve bottles of booze you get in mini-bars (and from Avon's cabin), but he certainly could keep his minifigs in there too!

"You're hiding something, Vila! What's in the violin?"
"Er, nothing, just these mini-figs, see?"

Yeah, good cover! Grin

Perhaps it was Avon's violin and Vila stole it from his cabin? A bit like Sherlock Holmes playing his violin... the two characters have similarities to me.

Avon and the 7 percent solution. Seems to me highly likely.
