"A bad episode"? Strictly in your opinion Wink SD and myself agree on "Moloch"... and we rarely agree on anything Grin Grin

But yes it's much more fun watching an episode you don't like in company. For example, there's so much I don't like about VTFP, but it's fun when watching with other people.

Absolutely! Moloch is a very strong Vila and Servalan story, not least for pairing them on screen so effectively, and also introduces a variety of plausible and intriguing guest characters with different motivations and concepts of morality. In exploring themes of a dark and sexual nature through character led drama, and by asking socially important questions within a fantasy context, this is not only a powerful episode but one that truly captures the strengths and essence of the show.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

I like the concept of Moloch, its just the execution and the visuals that let Moloch down.

FWIW I think Doran is excellent and that it is correct to portray the criminals and surviving Federation Troops as... disturbing..

The visuals often try to let B7 down, e.g. Brian in Harvest, the Links in Terminal, etc.

But as with other episodes, Moloch succeeds because it's a great idea, and the characterisation and dialogue are so strong. Yup, it's disturbing, but B7's dystopian future is supposed to be exactly that.

And while Gross and Lector are scumbags, Doran is much more ambiguous. He's shown to have more than one side to his character.

Sue Perryman didn't like it either. Wink Remember the Harvest and Moloch protest rewatches? Grin Grin We were protesting about Moloch only getting 3/10, you were protesting about it getting that much Wink
