May 2016 Fanfic Challenge
Morphenniel
Vila has only one idea. Get out of here or Avon will kill me. Dead! Hide. Try not to make any din. Don’t move.

Even now he can’t get his head to shut up. Orac! It must be Orac who gave Avon the idea. Why? How can Avon do this?! Avon is mad. He must be. The past few days have made him flip.

He can hear Avon call him. “Vila! Come out, I won’t hurt you.” Ha! Vila is not dull, dim or slow! He will stay in this area. He is safe. Avon will not find him. He will live. And when he sees Orac next, he will bash him into bits.

His face is hot. Fear has got him in its arms. A tear? No, Vila will not cry over Avon. He will get out of here.

Then he can hear Avon call him once more. “Vila! I’ve got it! I know how to stop the ship!”

Vila sees him put the gun down. He can tell by how Avon has told him, that it is true. Avon will not harm him now. He can come out.

But he will not ever feel safe with Avon, not now or ever.

And as for Orac, £*@$ him, the $*%#! Just wait till I get hold of you, Orac!

Ooh lovely stories folks. Pelladon that's a great Blake story! So subtle. TT some great stuff - love yours and Morphenniel's 4 letter word challenges! Here's mine based on Sarcophagus.

Do not go into that dark. Shun it.

The home of fear, a hole for an ogre, oozy with evil.

Deep into the mind digs the song of the dark.

You ask how I can tell? I can hear it call.

Soft. Like silk. Milk to hide gall. Do not go.

The dark is a pull to your mind-veer- a drag of a thin line.

You will go.

Or is it join?

Join with me, serf to my dark. Come to me. I wish to live.

In your arms. In the air-seep from your lips.

The brew of your soul. Blue song...Red rift ..even thus I need.

Ah but your hope will die. Must die. I will foil you.

No more, bane of my dusk.

No life can lurk here if my will deny it.

Lone he may be but I am with him.

Soon even dark will fade.

As fire eats all.

Four letter (or less) words!
Sounds like fun!
I could not stop thinking about it during the day.
Well, here is a try.
Please correct me if I did it wrong, I have never done this before in English and I did not take time for a re-read.
………………….………………….
Four men to fall for

Oh, how time flew when the men of the crew were busy at work and now it all made them look aged, bald and dull.
The gang had to make up its mind and thus the men put off at the door of the hair care and trim unit deep in the hold of the star ship.

A sign next to the door read : hair wash, cut and mold. Push one key or some more to make your plan.
What kind of trim did they need and also like?

Vila, who got more bald said: “Can it give me a lock or four more? And I mean hair lock, not the one I can pick.”
Roj, all curl and lock, but now dull: “Can it give me the tidy glow in my hair back?”
Avon, ever the wary man: “If only I will look good and sexy; can it give me a head full of lush hair?”
Last of all Gan ( it did not make him fuss over it at all) said: “I just hope it can do it nice and tidy.”

The tube that led to the hold hid a fly or two on the wall as it were: one girl with dark hair and one with fair hair, who had lots of fun as they took a peep at the boys.
“Ouch, how very vain they are!”, one of them said with a grin.
“Who will come to the fore to go into that unit?”
“Now, let’s make a poll out of that for our fans.” , was the dark gal’s reply.

Love your funny story Lurena! Grin
Annie yours is so classic but apt at the same time
Your story Morphenniel is clever and good!
Peladon, a clever twist to have Blake survive and Avon die!
Annie another lovely story examining Avon's motives and thoughts, great!

hèhè, I caught up finally.

- TT, your Orac rap perfectly sums up a nightmare that haunted me in the old days of first airing! Never argue with such a computer, neither ever trust it! And a neatly done for four olds, funny!
-Anniew your excuse drives you to write about Avon resulted in a touching feeling at us losing Gareth indeed. Thank you so much for that and neatly done!
-Peladon, clever Blake story, with an ending that might serve well as a cliff hanger. Moving and exchanging Avon and Blake’s motives, well explored.
- Morphenniel and Anniew I love your 4 letter word contributions. (However, Anniew, do I notice a 5 letter word in yours: (mind-) drift? No nit-picking intended)

Crumbs, people are soooo quick off the mark.
I have found it so difficult to think of anything that could be written with words of 4 letters and under, so I took a leaf out of TT's book. I went through my book case and found a copy of one of the first books that I ever held in my hand and got me reading. I couldn't find the exact one as it is up in the attic, but I did find the Ladybird version.
So with sincere apologies to Janet and John: Book one, and Peter and Jane's version (They go to a toy shop!!!), here goes.......

Roj and Kerr: Book One

This is Roj.
This is Kerr.
This is Roj and Kerr.
Here is Roj and here is Kerr.
Roj is here and Kerr is here.
Here is Orac.
Here is Roj and here is Orac.
Here is Kerr and here is Orac.
Kerr and Roj like Orac.
Roj goes to Star One.
Roj does not like Star One.
Roj goes away.
‘Find Roj, Orac,’ says Kerr, “Look, Orac, look for Roj.”
Orac does look.
Look Orac, here is Roj.
Roj is on GP.
Kerr goes to GP.
They all go to GP
Here is GP.
Here is Roj.
‘Is it Roj?’ they all ask.
Vila says, ‘Yes, it is him.’
‘It is me,’ Roj says.
‘Do not move,’ says Kerr.
But Roj does move.
Kerr does kill Roj.
Here are the bad men.
They do not like Roj.
They do not like Kerr.
They fire guns; they all fall.
But not Kerr.
Kerr does not fall.
He sees them.
They see him.
This is Kerr Avon.
He is the last.
In his hand is his gun.
He will fire.
They will fire.

‘This is me,’ says Kerr Avon.
In his hand is a book.
They all look.
‘And this is Roj,’ says Kerr Avon, “I have a tale to tell.’
‘Is it true?’ they ask.
‘Oh yes. It is true. Hear my words…and know.’

Glorious, Sue! Took me straight back to being 4 and a bit years old; at infant school! I'm loving all the May stories! Sadly, I lack the talent to write anything without hair pulling ... and time. Maybe there is something to be said for simply 'getting it down' because these are all highly entertaining.

The four-letter word prompt is amusing me no end Grin

Don't like it so much - it's funny how a word can feel right in context - a little package of complex associations which another doesn't have - but a challenge is a challenge

. I really enjoyed this prompt Ms Cleric. It forces you to think how words and word combinations work

We want blow up a base – we do that lots. BOOM!!!!!!!

But what is this? It’s a web. Our ship can’t get out of it!! Oh no.

Avon, let’s go down and sort it out.

We’re down. Oh look, it’s Deep Roy. “Hi Deep Roy!!” “Hi Roj and Avon!”

Deep Roy is in a mood with the man in the fish tank with the big head and the tiny body.

Deep Roy and his pals have gone mad. BLAM!!! BOOF!!

The fake boy and girl plus the man in the fish tank have died, as Deep Roy and his pals were very mad.

The web is no more and our ship can move. Let’s get out of here, and go and blow up that base. BOOM!!!!!!!!

Littlesue, your children's first school book version evokes memories I can't share, because I'm raised with different kind of stuff, but some images of mini-Blake and his crew come into my mind. Good storytelling as always! Well done.

Joe Dredd, you know, I often envisaged the messages would be like that indeed! After all it was in the eighties and we had the telegraph and telex service...

TT, oh please keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to more.

Bloomin' heck this challenge is addictive! Love the 'see Blake run' tales.

You want to know me? Not much to say. I....ummm..... I love to fly. Yes. I love to fly. That is it. All you need to know of me. Not much to know, as I said. What you see is what you get.

Oh, you want more... Well, the sky is my home. My only home. Ha. A bit deep that. Not like me. I don't do deep much. I can do it but as a rule, I don't.

But to make it clear, I feel free when I fly. My own boss, you see. It's what I want. Well, what I want most of the time. A hug now and then is nice. A hug and a bit more if I'm true. But hugs can come with a bill I don't want to pay.

I hope I am true- true to me..to mine..who I call mine at any rate. That is my hope. To be true to the end. Brrr. Sad stuff. Too sad. Not good to chew on how I'll end. So..

I like to wear red..blue... Bold? I ...yes I am. A bold lass. Yes. Now you say it, yes. Bold. I like that. Too bold? Only to men who fear me! What do I like in men? You don't give up, do you? Men. I like them in sage. Not showy. Not 'look at me'. Just easy...even dull. But real. I need real. Oh yes. Can't have it but I need it. My life log that: need but can't have. Ah damn it. Still sore, even now. What a joke life is. You just have to move on, don't you?

What else? I like the sky. And space. And to fly.
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Fair Dell

Fair Dell was the man of gun and cash.
One had to pay a lot to hire him.

He was apt, fast and had a good wit.
He was on his own, that was the best for his work. But did he miss a mate?

His eye fell on a miss who had her duty on Roj’s ship.
His mind told him: He and that girl can be a set!
But he must be at work and he left the fair girl in a sad mood.

He did get rid of his daze that said: One day he may come back for her.

Tho’ his wish came true in a way.
For sure that was to be read in some nice fan fic.

And this site on the web is full of talk and joke due to this all, isn’t it?
(oh, and no tone of red is in him, I say)

THE WAY BACK FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS

Hi kids, Roj can’t be with us, as he’s been a very, very bad man.

If you see Roj, run home as fast as you can and get your mum or your dad to call the Feds.

Don’t talk with Roj. Don’t get in Roj’s ship.

He will tell you that it is fun to blow up a Fed base. It’s not. Some kids’ mums and dads have died, due to Roj.

Roj is a very, very bad man. He does not like kids – he is mean to kids. He is evil – pure evil. He does evil to kids. Run from him and his pals.

Avon is a bad man. Vila is a bad man. Gan is a very bad man and will kill you.

We will save you. The Feds will save you. We are good men. We will help you to get home to your mum and your dad, so you will be safe.

I can help you. I am good. I am Dev.
