I'll be going as an exhibitor. Just for a change, I'll be INSIDE, in the small hall at the back, rather than outside in a tent, fighting the wind and rain!

By complete coincidence, I will also be nearer the bacon ... !!

But fighting the wind and the rain is half the fun!!!

So if they run out of bacon butties...we know who to blame!!! Grin

But PC, whatever shall we do?
None of Gary's costumes and no Andy to persuade to try them on.
Does this mean we will have to behave ourselves???Grin

As it is, I will have to behave myself as my original chauffeur and partner are unable to come...and a certain Dearest has stepped; like he did for Peterborough.
Not too sure when we will arrive as I have promised to take Daughter No 1 out to the usual Car Boot sale (A 6am start for us) and then once we are back, Dearest and I will set off for Hanslope.
See you there!

Phew...just got back!
Photos to sort and then will upload to photobucket.
You'll be pleased to know that PC and I behaved ourselves...okay, we did accost couple of B7 T shirt wearing gentlemen and asked (sort of) that they join Horizon.
We left them discussing models etc with Exterminator and Clanger!!!
The cafe did a roaring trade...they even had to send out for extra supplies. And I didn't even have a bacon buttie, just a couple of teas, a cheese roll and a cup cake.
Poor Dearest ended up sitting in the car waiting for me as I went round and said my goodbyes!
A group photo was organised before Alex had to leave...and Clanger took a very interesting photo which he will photoshop, of me, PC and a very bewildered Dearest who had no idea why a Scorpio gun was thrust into his hand!!!!

Here's just one photo taken by Dearest of those Horizon members (and others who joined in) with a photo of Gareth.
More to follow once I have cropped and sorted them out!

Great photo Sue! Seems to have been a day for camera happiness as I got my mug taken with the Mayor of Rugby at my summer market event today Smile

I'm back now (legs a bit achy) - apologies for running off and thus not being available for the photograph, but I was concerned about trains! Was lovely to meet some of you, though, and had a ton of fun.

And Sue, I'll get drawing something for you..

Hi All,

I am one of the "B7 T shirt wearing gentlemen" that littlesue collared at the show and was press-ganged into promising to join!
All I did was sit down to eat my cheeseburger in peace and I got accosted by some nutty strangers at the other end of the table. My own fault for wearing one of my favourite shirts I suppose.

Well, I had a great time - best of the HamEx/Small Space shows I have been to by far.

I have been a B7 fan ever since it was first shown but I am not generally one for joining fan clubs - it was those crazy women that forced me!
As a life-long Sci-Fi fan Liberator is my favourite space ship ever and as I discussed at the event, I have a Titan Find Liberator resin kit (sitting on the shelf behind me at the moment) which I am trying to pluck up the courage (and acquire the necessary skills) to build.

The real attraction of the show today was that Space 1999 is my second favourite Sci-Fi series and the Eagle from it is my second favourite ship. The chance to meet Brian Johnson (one of the SFX designers for the show and the creator of the Eagle) was just too good to pass up. Unfortunately (?) I don't have any 1999 shirts at the moment (may change with my birthday next month if my wife got the hints!) - hence the B7 one.

It was a fantastic show with great exhibits and lots of interesting people to chat to. Unfortunately the people who couldn't make it missed something pretty special.

Looking forward to possibly meeting more of the club members at future events.

All the best,

Nick
