I wonder if they used this episode for inspiration for Terminal (the death of Zen scene)

Zen's not dead. He simply turned himself off. His black box survived the destruction of the Libby, and is someone on Helotrix, where the Libby wardrobe also landed.

Someone or somewhere? Grin

Somewhere. Grin Or maybe Igin IS Zen Shock

Laughing out loud here!

Not sure if this episode shows Tarrant in the best light. It shows him as an unthinking bull in a china shop. Maybe that's why Tanith Lee decided to show a different side to him in Sand.

Good point. The first time I watched it I was very disappointed that it was Tarrant not Avon that got the action, but now I love it

It makes you wonder why they didn't dress Cally like that all along. It could have made a big difference to how the character was written.

But would she have ended up on teleport duty even more?

I don't think you could have Avon in Sand, and have both Avon and Servalan emerge from the episode alive. Avon hates Servalan after the events of Terminal.

She throws herself headlong into this performance - it's fantastic.

I'm not that convinced by the kiss, but I'm not sure we are meant to be if you know what I mean.

I've realised now that the Cally alien is feeling threatened as soon as Avon approaches her, she has a hint of fear in her eyes.

It's very B7 that this is obviously the cheapest episode of the season and yet it's one of the best.

My favourite episode at the age of six, and still one of my favourites now.

I'm surprised you can remember it! I can remember very little from the first time around.
