I feel so flat and sad today! Gauda Prime again but without any hope of rewriting the ending. Those of you who knew Gareth personally must be feeling so bad. I'm sending you hugs.

Oh, Annie, that's so true, and after such a wonderful Saturday spent with Blake's 7 actors/support people/and our fellow fans. A personal Gauda Prime indeed. Still crying...

Here's a photo from Return to Gauda Prime One, with dear friend Lorna. We managed to be first in line to have photos with Gareth and Micheal and of course Lorna wanted to be with her favorite Michael, which left me with Gareth, and glad of it. Such wonderful memories of the weekend, and of our actors. Hope this gives a little ray of sunshine to my fellow Forum members on a very cloudy and unhappy couple of days.

Great photo Paula, what a lovely memory.

This is the way to go I think, celebrate his life, remember the good times, keep talking about him and sharing our photos and memories.

We are blessed with our cast, I think we were talking about this over the weekend, they are so friendly, supportive and within reason accessible, Gareth was the prime example of this, I say a Blake's 7 fan is a lucky fan.

So sad to hear of Gareth`s passing. My sincere condolences to his wife, family and friends. Blake`s 7 has always been my favourite programme. First met Gareth at The Alliance Babylon 5 convention in July 1997. When I obtained his autograph and told him I loved Blake`s 7 - he kissed my hand. Met him again at Deliverance 98 and was waiting for his talk with David Jackson when they were stuck in the lift. He then chose my daughter, Sharon, to try and outstare during the Q & A. She outstared him. Met him at several more signing events and the Star One conventions. He was such a lovely man and a wonderful actor. Having a day watching my DVD`s and last night watched Blake - he said at one event that he liked Blake in that last episode. He always had plenty of time for the fans and said every time we met him that he would not be appearing at these events if it wasn`t for all of us.
RIP

What a simply incredible weekend that was, with Gareth and Michael playing a big part by doing all expected of them and much, much more. And of course, it was the first time many of us met. A reminder of happy days.

Very sad news! I was fortunate to have met him at a number of conventions, most recently at the one Clare Blues organised in Oxford in 2011. Also I saw him in the lead role in "Brother Cadfael: The Virgin in the Ice" at Malvern Theatre

This photo was taken at Vision's Con 1995, the most wonderful con ever- and I still think back on the day. I reached up to give Gareth a kiss on the cheek and he moved and gave me a kiss on the mouth instead. How can I ever top that? We were standing with some mighty experienced actors in this photo and very honored to be there to be sure. Paul Darrow, Brian Blessed, Brad and Paula, Gareth Thomas. I just wanted to share another happy memory of Gareth. Bless!

Thank you. A very moving and fitting tribute.
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Excellent tribute to Gareth. Thank you.

Some pictorial evidence, not that any is needed, of how amazingly awesome Gareth Thomas has been to us the fans.

This particular batch was taken at the excellent Return to Gauda Prime in 2011.

The only time I met Gareth. I have to be honest, it was like a dream so I donīt remember much but what I *do* remember is that he was a wonderful gentleman.

Indeed...

So many memories with Gareth... all of them good, many of them include people on here.. Smile

I count myself fortunate to have met an icon and again thank certain people on here for permitting myself to be of service as a guest liason at times..

Gareth was a real gentleman and will be sorely missed, by so many here.

I heard the news the morning that I was flying home which made for a sad trip. Given that we had heard on Friday that he had been ill it wasn't entirely unexpected, but still terribly sad. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but judging from the stories told here he was a lovely person. Thanks to everyone for sharing the memories.

OMG...

I was slim enough to fit into my Babylon 5 costume then and had hair!!!

Must have been one of the Who's 7 cons (they were fun!)

Beautiful, can barely type this , as its brought tears to my eyes.
It needs to be shared as it sums up GT perfectly..
(I missed this when reading the updates last night I was tired though)

Thought I had brought my emotions under control but I was wrong.

Might need to lace my coffee with something, to hold it together.

I never met him, and now I will never meet him. The reality of this fact is only slowly sinking in.
Thank you all for sharing your stories and photos. Having had no first-hand experience of Gareth, I very much appreciate to get to know him at least a little by your memories.
