Does the Out Of The Unknown episode with the White Robots exist?

Spaceship Dispatcher
Question:

In narrative terms, do Zoe and Jamie actually here the throbbing sounds of machinery (factories maybe) and the echo of pipe music as part of the illusion or is it purely sound effects?
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

For me, the main aspect of the restoration that partially spoils the effect is not being able to see the edge of the studio but actually the glossy reflection of the floor... Grin

Yes, it's supposed to be murky.

The interiors of the Tardis in this episode were good, considering they were not a permanent standing set.

It's not the most convincing... or is it? Does the fact that it's such terrible 'acting' mean that it's more like how Wendy might spontaneously scream for real is therefore more realistic?

I loved the Clockwork Robots right from first viewing! They prowled through my imagination for weeks with that unique sound they make...

If I recall correctly there was a vagueness about the soundtrack here before the restoration and it was ages before I picked out the "you have a stout ship?!" line...

The character of Zoe is only supposed to be 15/16 (Wendy was around 20) and her life experiences were sitting on the Wheel.

I wasn't criticising the quality of the screaming, rather than the fact she screams at all.

As well as being about children's fiction, this is a traditional style of children's story itself with its quirky but very linear narrative.
