In what way are Luke and Leia twins?! Oops

Not identical twins... just twins Wink

Even so, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher look nothing like each other.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

Luke: Leia...
Obi Wan: How did you know?
Luke: She's the only woman in the galaxy, apart from Dead Aunt Beru, the lady that says, "Stand By Ion Control," in Empire, and the lady that I haven't met yet who will say, "Many Bothans died.... ":
Obi Wan: Oh, yeah...

We've just had the 'Many Bothans died' line.

If they died, how did they pass on the information? Illogical females, cut them completely out of the trilogy Wink

Many Bothans died. At least one was wise enough to grab the info and run. I think his name was Vila Bothan.

Which fuels the fan theory described above, as Leia looks like Padme, but Luke looks a lot more like Ewan McGregor than Hayden Christensen.

JustBrad wrote:Actually, there is a fan theory that at least one of them is actually Obi Wan Kenobi's child, as Padme was cheating on Anakin with Kenobi. If true, it explains Obi Wan's behavior, and Anakin's fall to the dark side when he found out.

Well, let's chuck out that theory, this is Star Wars, not EastEnders Wink

Padme being Natalie Portman?*

*the only compensation for watching the prequels.

I'm holding on to it. It actually makes watching Clones and Revenge palatable.

I was thinking more it was Ian Bothan who batted the information for six, as someone shot him Wink

If you watch the trilogy backwards, it's the story of Padme being raised from the dead and fighting to escape a bad marriage.

Most good drama involves such relationship sub-plots; Eastenders merely does it worse than anything else.

...except Star Wars.

Okay, the comparison stands. Wink

Star Wars has never pretended to be drama. It is a fairy tale set in space.
The opening line is merely a variation of Long Ago and Far Away....

Stormtroopers are a bit rubbish.

If you went to school and failed all your exams, did you become a stormtrooper?

They can't see a thing in those helmets*

*Mark Hammil spoke the line aside to Harrison, not knowing the mic was live, and George left it in.

Warwick Davis....

"Life Is Too Short" is excellent. It's a Ricky Gervais/Stephen Marchant penned comedy, in which Warwick Davis plays a spoof version of himself.
