Horizon Advent Calendar Comments 2015
Sopron
A belated Happy Christmas to all you rebels out there and a huge thank you to the contributors to the advent calendar. Iím skimming this comments thread with my eyes half-closed to avoid spoilers for the puzzles, etc. as I havenít had time to go through all the contributions yet. My Boxing Day afternoon/evening will consist of all the usual post-Xmas goodies to eat and drink whilst catching up on this and yesterdayís DW Christmas special. Oh, and the fanfic challenge entries for Sept/Oct/Nov,
and the other threads I havenít looked at,
and the updates to Cygnus Alpha2,
not to mention getting a ticket for the new Star Wars (any of you spotted the locations from my beloved Forest yet?) andÖ
Öthis could take some time.
So Iíll wish a healthy, happy and fed-free 2016 to the whole globe-spanning Horizon-load of you. May your beautiful dreams fly forth like DSVís and your foes trip over in their stilettoed sling-backs.

Cheers,

Cool

Peladon a lovely story. How nice if Gauda Prime day had really ended like that!

Thanks all for your nice comments about my filk!

LOL who says it didnt? There are plenty of clues that it might have done just that. Who knows what was happening out of shot. One thing I know from RL what people think they see is not always what is there, it comes down to what you focus on - which is not necessariky the most informative or essential part of the situation.

This is so true. I did a course last year in Forensic Psychology about eyewitness evidence. It was quite mind-blowing, the way people notice / don't notice things, and how subjective their reporting is. And the number of miscarriages of justice that happen as a result.

Wow Travisina. So didn't see the Gorilla that I went back and looked at the footage again, believing I'd been conned. It explains magic, paranormal manifestations, wrongful arrests! Really scary.

Yes, its been a concern for a long time not least because people are always so sure that what they think they saw was the reality. Then there is the fact that any form of emotional or 'belief' engagment makes the whole situation even more complicated, even in science - which is something many scientists find very hard to accept. Its why experimental design is so important. I had a very interesting exchange with someone recently about what 'finding the Higgs Bosun' actually meant.......

For me it makes writing off GP really quite easy.Cool

Phew...just catching up after a hectic couple of days what with the family popping in left right and centre!
Thank you so much every one for all your wonderful contributions..stories, quizes, pictures..
A special mention to Hugbot...our very own James Bond...so very, very smart. I have a picture of Dearest also dressed up to the nines. There's something about a Tux and bow tie................

And thank you for your kind comments regarding my little story inspired by Atomicmayo's beautiful picture. When I was doing my 'O' level mock exams and the real thing, I always went for the picture for my essay.

What was in those pressies? You'll have to ask Atomicmayo...or maybe someone out there might be able to supply the answer..............

Now to start thinking about my next foray into the B7 universe.

Lurena what a wonderful video. Perfect. And as for the male Horizon member .... I think it was TT in his Og guise!

Or maybe, now we've seen him in his Sunday best, Hugbot was on his way to that dinner until the story reading delayed him!

What a great surprise - the Advent calendar is still running!
Another wise story about the three wise men and women - I really enjoyed that, Travisina.
And what a lovely video! Lurena, it is so good to have you and your creativity back.

By the way, as some of you have already guessed correctly, I was on my way to Servalan's dinner party, but then I got an invitation from Dayna to her party ... of course, I went there. Grin

I am slowly catching up with this Advent Calendar, it's a wonderful treat!
This week I can take some time to sit now and then, feet up, and enjoy.
I have seen almost all contributions on the first page of this thread.
I am very keen on puzzles , so that was a hit!
I love the stories and the photos ( especially the ones with the celebrities season's greetings from Tardis Con by Brad and Paula).
Thank you all so far!

Oh dear, you will be in serious trouble Hugbot! Servie doesn't accept changes of plans. I hope you managed to send Og instead? LOL!
Thank you for your warm welcome back.

I am now trying to picture Og in a tux; somehow I don't think it would suit him Pfft

Anniew, what a lovely idea.
That they left the parcels in memory of those that they had loved and lost.

@Ellen. I'm sure the experts at Moss Bros could sort out Og with a really nice Tux!

I leave for a little bit and come back to more fan fiction based on that drawing. It's all great (and aaargh so sad but still so good)

Thank for posting, Annie! This is the most fan fic that has ever come out of any of the drawings I've done. I'm amazed! 0_0

I'm glad you liked it Atomicmayo. It was a very strange experience. I just opened myself up to what was in your painting and the fic wrote itself. It was most enjoyable and I thank you for inspiring it. Your art work is very multi layered. I think that is why it inspires!

I've just shed a tear at your story Annie, very moving. I like the way Vila tries to protect Avon by putting his parcel in his bag. Sorry I haven't been commmenting much on contributions recently but I have enjoyed all the new entries, we have so much talent on this forum!
