Travers words are “over” forty years.

It's true that he says that but, taking what we know about Travers from both stories and how Anne has a sort of "hmm... whatever you say Father" look a lot of the time, it's also possible that through a combination of bravado and senility he's actually rounding up the figure quite a lot. I know lots of people who say "oh, at least forty!" when they actually mean about thirty...

Yes, I was starting to wonder the same. He's talking to Victoria, and if Victoria is as good at maths as she is at cookery, then she wouldn't have spotted his error.

The Web Of Fear is 1971 and The Invasion in 1975 works for me. In that case, I can't see the "four" years being wrong, it's a much shorter period of time and the discussion is between two 'reliable' characters, the Doc and the Brig Wink

Works for me. Besides which, Victoria has no idea when they have landed anyway; yes they saw the newspaper stand when they first arrived, but they were distracted from reading it by the dead vendor covered in sticky web!!

I'm with you on 79/80 as a feasible date for TGD and TTW too.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

Morning!!!

Ready to travel back to 1971 for the remaining two episodes Wink

Hi folks.

Started.

Jack Watling was quite an actor. He pulls off the aged Travers effortlessly (just three or fours months earlier he was portraying the character around 40 years younger), and also does a very nice take in a possessed Travers.

I love these last two episodes. It's a real battle of wits between the Doctor and the Intelligence.

Is it just you and I TT?

trevor travis
Haha, the Doctor gets the sphere working by banging the table Grin

Looks like it. I think SD said he was going to be missing this week, but GC said he'd be back.

So who's the traitor?
Evans
Arnold
Lethbridge-Stewart
Chorley

Or someone else?

trevor travis
Lethbridge-Stewart is a very different character here, as to what we sell later. He's a man of mystery and not necessarily a man to trust.

Strange how he changes into the dependable Brigadier.

Well Jamie said it had to be either him or Lethbridge-Stewart. Lethbridge-Stewart said it wasn't him. So it must be Jamie.... lol

The Doctor seems to be spending most of this episode creating an elaborate toy? Is it getting close to Xmas in the TARDIS? Grin Grin

I've ruled out Jamie Wink

I think the traitor is Salamander. He was dumped from the vortex into the underground six months before the Doctor arrived...

trevor travis
Yay, the Doctor and Anne have a pet Yeti Grin

I reckon Victoria will love her Xmas present Wink

Part Six!!!!!

Oh lordy, I've just realised it's the Dominators next week Shock Pros: Zoe. Cons: everything else!
