Isn't she great in that? Keeping a straight face whilst Mr Curtis does his Cary Grant voice.

I have to admit to a soft spot for The Persuaders. Tony Curtis is a blast and as for Roger Moore...he has just got IT! Ironic suave and yes...charismatic! And a super fab ace theme tune/credits.

Found this doing a Google search of Tom Chadbon. I've been looking for this video of him doing Hamlet in 1971 for the Open University. At least I have a photo now! ...sigh...

Thank you for this rabbit hole. I was an avid watcher of all kinds of OU programmes as a child and there are some of the videos I watched when I was studying with the OU.

Happy to help! I'm usually trawling for old Jan pictures but I don't mind a detour. It only took 2 minutes to find.

I saw Josette Simon playing one of the witches in Macbeth at Stratford. Bob Peck was the man himself. Must have been about 1980/1. I felt like I was watching an old friend.

Not exactly spotted..but went to Avebury Circle today so that Grandson could take piccies for his GCSE.
Went past the Red Lion Pub into which Gareth went (and the next shot was an interior set). Also went along the road that he and the young lad went along at the start of Children of the Stones...and still expected one of the stones to jump out into the road!!!
Went into the shop there and yay...they have finally got the Children of the Stones DVD in!!!
Also found out while chatting to the ladies in the said shop that they still have some of the props from the show..especially a replica stone that comes out on 1st April and is moved around the circle!!!!
Grandson? Just wanted a Big Mac...sigh, 4000 years of history and he wanted a Big Mac..........we found a McDonalds on the A34. He was happy Grin

I used to go to Avebury a lot. At least once a month when I lived in Swindon. I much preferred it to Stonehenge. There's something about the size and that makes it much more powerful.

And the fact you can get very close and are able to touch the stones....just look out for sheep poop.
