Is that Ray Winstone in the paler outfit?

Well spotted, AA! And of course Ray W went on to play Regan in the 2012 "Sweeney" movie remake.

Do you mind if I borrow your images to share on our Robin of Sherwood forum?

That's fine by me, AA!

If you could mention it comes from the Network DVD of The Sweeney S3, that would be great. Hopefully it will encourage a sale or two somewhere.

Angry Angel
Thanks Joe! Will do.

In SFX Issue 277 Sept. 2016.
Daughter No 1 got this in a job lot off Ebay so I thought I'd just have a casual glance...
....Page 80. Nicholas Winding Refn discusses what influenced his work.
I nearly fell off my chair!!!
'Blake's 7. I generally really love British Sci-fi because the UK point of view always had a much darker tone than a lot of the American fluff - it's not utopian. I saw Blake's 7 because I was visiting England at the time when it was airing. I never saw the whole series, I just saw three or four episodes, but god, they were so imaginative and exciting. And they had those rayguns!' Also a picture from Duel.
He also mentions Dr Who, especially the Tom Baker ones. and The Prisoner.
So I'd say he's a pretty cool guy...whoever he isGrin

PS, he's a provocative director according to SFX

Great, isn't it! There was a mention in an earlier issue from 2016 in which Tom Watson cites Blake's 7 as a favourite TV show in his youth. I did a fist pump at that at the time. I would have to search out our mags to find the full piece, but it was around CA2, therefore probably an April or May 2016 issue, since the mag months are always in advance.

There are more fans out there than we think ...

Sasha Mitchell (Arlen in "Blake") in the audio play "The Mechanical Planet", available free on CD (and 7" single!) with issue 3 of the Vworp Vworp fanzine/prozine.

Further B7 connections abound. The story, which centres around Terry Nation's Daleks, is adapted by Alan Stevens, with sound by Alistair Lock. Furthermore, the Dalek models on the cover of the CD were made by our very own Exterminator, who has a two page article within the zine, including a photo of his incredible Liberator flight console.

(As usual, clicking on the photos should display larger images.)

I was just coming here to post that, littlesue! I got a tip off from a kind, semi-anonymous source.

"I was watching Broadchurch last night, and Josette Simon turned up as the Chief Superintendent in the police, basically David Tennant's and Olivia Colman's boss. One to mention on Horizon if you like."

Thanks FL!

Nice shot, Hugbot. I take it that's from one of the remastered DVD/Blu-ray releases? They're so vibrant, especially compared to what we had before.

This isn't so much a 'spotting' as a hearing...however...I was watching this ancient Egypt documentary on YouTube (from the 2000's I think) and I heard what sounds like our own Mr Darrow!

Listen from 2mins 20 secs and again towards the end around 1hr 38 mins...

Does anyone agree it's Paul?

Absolutely, that voice is unmistakable! Paul used to do quite a few voice overs for Discovery Channel - I especially remember all the trailers for 'Shark Week'.

Yes, it's from the remastered version. Good to see both Carol Royle and Pamela Salem twice in vivid colour! However, some of the 70s wallpaper in the background makes you wish the picture quality was less good ... Pfft

As an addendum to our Tuesday rewatch of Traitor:

There is even a scene that reminds me of a scene in Traitor
