I was listening to the radio comedy "An Actor's Life for Me" this morning. It was the first episode of S3, "Here's Looking at You, Kid", from 1993.

John Gordon-Sinclair plays wannabe actor Robert Wilson. In this episode he is successfully working as a stooge in a "Beadle's About" type programme. He gets beaten up by one person he plays a trick on, only to find out later the man is an actor deliberately employed to attack him as a ratings ploy.

On learning the man is an actor, Wilson and his agent look up Spotlight to see what the man had last worked in.

(From memory:)

"Blake's 7," says the agent.
"Blake's 7!?" says Wilson, incredulously.
"Well, he's lost weight since then."
"That's because he can't afford to eat if he hasn't worked since Blake's 7!"

I know of what you speak. We were watching Dracula, Prince of Darkness, a Hammer film starring Christopher Lee and who are the two female leads? Barbara Shelley (Dr. Plaxton) and Suzan Farmer (Meegat). We had a good time making up Blake's 7 jokes while watching the film.

Watching the repeats of Dempsey and Makepeace on Forces TV. Apart from starring Glynis Barber, so far Brian Croucher has popped up as the villain in episode 4, followed by Stephen Greif in episode 5!

Rewatching Ian Carmichael as Lord Peter Wimsey, Murder Must Advertise: in steps Paul Darrow as Mr Tallboy. I have seen it before and forgot he was in it. It was lovely to see him framed in the doorway.

Spotted Barbara Shelley and Suzan Farmer again, in Rasputin the Mad Monk, starring Christopher Lee. Hammer Films must have found the pair of ladies suited for their films as this is the second film they co-starred in together.

Larry Noble (Pinder) and John Savident (Egrorian) in episodes of Chance in a Million.
Hubby recently acquired the DVD box set of the series - I've never seen it before, and am enjoying it immensely.

John Savident's character appears more than once, still in wedding rig.

Brian Croucher can be seen in the pilot episode (included in the box set).

There's a few others to spot too...
