Mr TP will return in Callan towards the end of the series (next week), then Van de Valk!!!! As it is, I couldn't do any spotting as I was in a cold field watching Grandson's last football match. Well that deserves a Bong! "We're in the centre of a mystical convergence here."

There's a new sitcom or comedy drama on BBC on Monday nights, 'Back To Life', about a woman being released from prison after eighteen years, and Souad Faress - Selma from Hortizon - appears in a couple of episodes as her next door neighbour. |

Know what you mean but I suggest sticking with it if only because I do believe there is a serious upgrade to film in the 2nd series. The stories are interesting so far. We are not so familiar with Mr V as with Sweeney, Professionals etc...so let's give him the good old British trial !! ![]() "We're in the centre of a mystical convergence here."

Douglas Camfield directed last nights episode of Van Der Valk and Michael Sheard was a guest star. But something is not right. Is it the writing perhaps? Or Mr Foster's performance? Both he and his side kick keep going off to have 'a quick one' in the local pub; he smokes cigars (like Columbo) endlessy (just as Jack Regan was always lighting up!); loves his wife...but I don't know. I'll keep watching. There must have been something about the series for me to remember it. Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold. I'll keep watching. There must have been something about the series for me to remember it. You mean, apart from the feem toon? That's the feeling I have too. I have a memory of watching an afternoon repeat late 70s/80s and it LOOKED better: like the makers knew what they wanted from it. I remember liking it but I was oh so much younger then...(is that from a song?). Remember this was the heyday of the cop with a "thing": MacMillan had a wife, Banacek had a canoe, Columbo had his mac and cigar, Frank Cannon was fat...Mr V is Dutch and irascible! Let's hope he matures beyond it. "We're in the centre of a mystical convergence here."

Yes, it's Geraldine Chaplin on the right of the picture. Which means one of the other three has appeared in Blake's 7. |
