Wow! Must we be reminded of those awful 1970's hair cuts? Thanks Joe Dredd for all the screen captures, especially of Tom C. I'm really enjoying seeing some of my favorite actors in their youth! -Paula

Hi Paula, I know you're a fan of Tom Chadbon, so of course I was thinking of you when I did them.

I also know Brad likes Jenna's flowing locks, so I thought what better than to combine both your interests? I'm sure Brad will love admiring Tom C with flowing locks! (Ahem! Or not!)

Not a word of a lie, I'm watching "Within these Walls" right now (Googie Withers as prison governess, with a regular role for Janet Lees Price) and guess which skinny long haired fellow has just turned up on screen? Tom flipping Chadbon!

JD, that's brave, inserting a "flipping" into Tom Chadbon. Shock

Be warned, Paula will attack you with a Welsh street sign GrinGrin

Joe Dredd
He's following me around!

But thanks for the tip; I've heard about Paula and her deadly Welsh street signs! I'll have to pacify her with some screenshots when I can get a minute. This time young Chadbon is in colour!

What do Welsh learner drivers have to display on their cars?
LL plates!

Spotted 'The Liberator' in the clouds!!!! Oh if only I had a camera at that moment.

Last night when checking out the woeful offerings for a Saturday night's TV viewing spotted Deep Roy (Decima, The Klute etc.) as all the Oompa Loompas in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Was showing after 9.30pm(!) in place of one of the many Batmans. All a bit saccharine for me. Much prefer a gristly, stringy Moloch or devolved Link.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron!GrinFrown

My goodness, he's all of 26 in this! And I didn't even spot him when I saw this back in the day...maybe it was because our telly was only 14inches and in black and white...oh yes, and the valves kept over heating...I could of been out on the night!!
None the less, thankyou for finding this little gem. Not too sure about the dodgy accent though.................................

Yes, I did see that film. It's worth sitting through just to see him.
I used to watch Emergency Ward 10 with my Mum, but I can't recall see Mr D in that. And the same goes for Z Cars.
Methinks I may have been just a little to young appreciate such a handsome chap!

Andrew Robertson the Captain from Hostage, in Adam Adamant 'The Doomsday Plan'. This episode was written by Richard Harris and had Peter Vaughan as the guest star.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, as I did the proceeding one 'Sing a Song of Murder.'
I'm afraid Mr Robertson had a very unhappy end in this episode...run over by a Ford Cortina (I think) just outside Adam's front door...in the Multi-story carpark!

Not actually a TV show or movie, but I've been browsing the "Familiar Unknown" website, dedicated to reminding us of 'a miscellany of British character actors who are still with us'.

The potted biographies don't always reveal anything new, but they're enjoyable enough and each entry has pictures of the actors in a few different roles, usually from different times in their career/lives.

As well as Paul Darrow, Jackie Pearce, and Stephen Greif, there are entries for Tom Chadbon, Aubrey Woods, Michael Troughton, Colin Farrell, Leslie Schofield and Tony Caunter.

Judge Minty - http://judgeminty...

Picking up and continuing the original story in 2000AD, it's not a movie or TV show, but a fan-made video of the most amazing quality. It's heaps better than the Stallone version; more akin to the style and atmosphere of the recent Dredd movie. And it was made with the blessing of JD's creators and copyright holders. Highly recommended.

NB for any younglings (or parents of younglings) reading this - it's rated 18 for gory violence!

Yay, Barry Jackson, at last, in Adam Adamant under his name, but still listed as Jack Barry as the stunt chap...and what a stunt fight between between him and Mr Harper. Episode is 'Beauty Is An Ugly Word'. Also had Annette Andre (from the original Randall and Hopkirk) and Peter Jeffrey. I've watched 3 episodes today and I now know why I loved it.
Sing a Song of Murder (Yesterday) very good, but the Doomsday Plan was brilliant (by Richard Harris, the man who created Man in a Suitcase) and even daughter no. 1 enjoyed Death by Appointment Only. Once you get past the different production values, it is very good. And it's all due to the chemistry between Mr Harper, Ms Harmer and the very droll Jack May.
Roll on the next few episodes.

Lovely pictures of Paul, Joe Dredd! Although I can't agree that Avon's interactions with Servalan drove most of the plot lines of Blake's 7 ...

And Steven Sterlacchini, the key man behind it, is user "Judge Minty" on this forum! (eg: this thread)

The work done on Judge Minty is spectacular in all regards. The costuming has led to the development of proper cosplay uniforms for sale (Planet Replicas), which in turn is feeding back to influence the source material, 2000AD, itself. With physical 3D objects to base their drawings on, you can really tell when an artist has drawn, say, the gun or badge using the props as reference material. You can even buy a small Judge Minty figure, with all proceeds going to charity (Cellar of Dredd entry).

Steve also has a brilliant miniature Judge costume for his son. I'm reluctant to post someone else's family photos but hopefully Steve will see this and repost them here - it is utterly brilliant, as is the photo of young costumed son with Karl Urban!

The Minty film is a couple of years old now, but word is they're working on something new.

See you on the streets....

Stone the crows, I had no idea! I just thought it was just a fan-chosen name, not the actual writer/director! I've now written him a fan mail PM Cool
