I was shocked that Sam was in such an old show, so far from home, looking much the same as he does today.

There was a good bio on him recently on Oz TV:

John leeson in Shadow of the Noose, excellent series, starring the guy pushed down the liftshaft by Morgus in Caves of Androzani!

Not to brag, but I think this is one monumental spot. In the season finale of Game of Thrones, "The Dragon and the Wolf", I spotted a well-known Blake's 7 actor in the scene where Rhaegar and Lyanna marry in secret. If you don't blink, you will recognize none other than Tom Chadbon as the priest who marries the pair. He's only in it for perhaps one second as they pan to the pair kissing, but I immediately recognized him and to be doubly sure, I watched the episode again and yes, he was in the credits. Wow, our Tom finally made it onto GoT. Well spotted, Paula (I say to myself as who else would recognize that actor in one second of film?) Grin

Saw DrWho#4 "Revenge of the Cybermen" & good to spot some B7 actors.

From Blake's 7:
CA-1: Yes, why? Why have you brought this on us? I just can't
believe it. I can't believe that anyone can be so --
SERVALAN: Successful? Well now you know.

Anyone else recognize those dark eyebrows with white hair!?!
[answer in white]
(Ronald Leigh-Hunt as Commander Stevenson.)

That familiar evil private sneer! (on the OTHER fellow, not TheDoctor!)
[answer in white]
(Dev Tarrant from 01.TheWayBack = Jeremy Wilkin = Professor Kellman)

Then there's this dark-haired fellow playing Lester = William Marlowe:

His face & voice are SO familiar but I can't place him. Has he played a *lot* of DrWho? Anyone know?

I seem to recall him from some ActionMan series, like The Professionals or something, although I've only seen 1 DVD of The Professionals & very little other 70's/80's UK TV. So it's a bit of a puzzle/mystery how he looks *so* familiar....

winnie-l
Hmmm - he played Sir Guy of Gisbourne in The Legend of Robin Hood (1975)
But he was bearded there & my recollect is seeing him like above, clean-shaven.

Research continues...

Ah Ronald Leigh Hunt,
For people of a certain age he will always be Col. Buchan from The Freewheelers TV Show...well actually, Southern TV's Speedboat 'The Southerner' was the star of that show!
And somehow, some of the scenery ended up in my Wendy House/shed, built by my dear old Dad. I think he found it at the local dump (only painted hard board) and brought it home to line the interior.
Now off to fine the theme tune..........................

William Marlowe was in the episode of the Persuaders entitled Element of Risk...and he was not very nice to Brett or Danny!
He was one of those actors who turned up everywhere.

Tonight's episode of science magazine show Catalyst was about semi-autonomous vehicles and the, er, road to driverless cars.

Partway through the programme they got onto BRETT, the University of California's robot. With his overly-large flapping arms and unintentionally comical way of suddenly dropping things, BRETT (Berkeley Robot for Eliminating Tedious Tasks) is quite likely hugbot's great great grandfather.

The latest round of Middle East peace talks are abruptly halted when Patricia Norton, the UN Chief Negotiator, disappears.

Great spot Paula, I didn't recognise him at all, and I've seen various memes with that shot quite a few times since.

Maybe she needed the pauses to decide between Avon and Blake.

DrWho#4 "Sontaran Experiment" (one of my FAVORITE DrWho eps!) - spotted Major Grenlee from B7 34.RumoursOfDeath! Vural = Donald Douglas, this time with a quite charming Scots accent!
And with quite wind-blown hair - it was VERY windy on set!
