"Single Function Isomorphic Response"
During a fabulous evening spent with fellow fans after the RTGP 3 event on the Sunday night, many, many things were covered (Monkey, Hartly Hare and a plethora of International Childrens TV) and I won't mention the 'Flaming Pen@s' from Battle of the Planets!

Among the topics of discussion was the 'Tesco Liberator style Weapon/Pricing System'.

I'm not sure if Ellen and Hugbot really believed Karyn and I that it existed, so on our return home the next day we popped into Tesco's to check out their:

"Single Function Isomorphic Response Price Tagging System"

"Well, it certainly gives one a feeling of independence, when shopping!"

We got some strange looks, but we did not care!

It will only let you have one each, but Karyn can take one, then Andy can take one and hand it to Karyn. (Rewatch the beginning of Cygnus Alpha if you don't get it).
Someone in the Tesco management must love B7! Grin
Do they heat up when you try to grab another one?
Mr and Mrs Clanger, I salute you. How brilliant. I just wish I'd been in Tescos to join in. I hope you did the disdainful Blake look Clanger and Mrs C shrugged briskly and with a tinge of regret as she put it back unfired.
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.
Bucket list for next trip? See the Tesco gun thingies and probably get kicked out for having our photo with them. LOL>

I believed you. After all the strange TV shows, "single function isomorphic response" scanners didn't require much suspension of disbelief Wink
And the next time I am in a Tesco, I will so be looking for them. Not sure if I am willing to sign up for the store member card to get to use one though.

And speaking of the strange TV shows, on the tube in London I swear I saw the scary character with the big pouty lips.
President Solvite
One thing that can happen , like the real thing, they can suffer from battery failure..

Scanning prematurely can be the cause!
