Okay, so I'm realizing we could have a whole thread on Avon's wardrobe choices, and probably should so as not to annoy everyone else in this thread, but I can't resist because since discovering the show in 1985 I have literally Never had anyone to discuss any of this with before! So, with apologies for my giddy enthusiasm, I have to respond; yes, the black shirt does play into my choice of Aftermath as a go-to; I think it's partly the sudden contrast, sort of the shock of seeing him in something more casual. That and it just looks really good. I may be overthinking it but it's fun to think about.

You carry on having fun thinking about it!Grin
Somewhere on this forum there is a thread about an event called Smallspace (organised by our very own Mat Irvine to keep his Village Hall roof in good order), anyway, I'm not too sure which year it was, but our Gary took his costumes along and Purple Cleric and I managed to persuade a certain chap called Andy Hopkinson to try Avon's costumes on. Needless to say, he needed help and PC and I offered our services...with the tops that is. Never have so many hook and eye fastenings and Velcro strips (and press studs), been so expertly sorted....and the leather was just soooooo soft.............................Grin
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!

I apologize , I'm having some technical trouble posting direct replies but was not surprised to hear of the complicated assortment of hooks, fasteners, studs, etc. re: Avon's costumes. The black leather ensemble (Death Watch) would, for instance, present some challenges but I like to think I would be up to them.

I've found a piccie of me and PC (she's on the right) with the gentleman concerned. It was Smallspace 2013.
