Lee Child - 'Echo Burning'. I'm reading the Jack Reacher books completely out of order, just as and when I get hold of them. This one is very good - such fantastic descriptions of the Texas heat, warms me up on a chill, grey Autumn morning.

One of my faves! Book three or four if I remember correctly. I'm looking forward to the new one.

Total Trek mood, mostly TNG! Read Rogue Saucer which was an okay romp and now onto Q and Law! Lwaxana and Q in one story? um yes please!

Q in Law is a serious contender for my favorite ST novel ever. Q messes with Lwaxana and gets exactly what he deserves. Wink It has been out of print for years, so I have been buying used copies at the library book sales to have loaner/gift copies to spread the fun. Now I want to go read it again.

Just finished reading the hilarious 'Maximum Power'. A real hoot. After this it's technical documents. (I know dull right?).

Angry Angel
Started reading 'The Girl With All The Gifts' by M R Carey - very good so far.

I feel spoiled! Its an amazing read. Not sure whats to read after it, but it'll be TNG related.

Star Trek TNG: Ghost Ship. The first TNG book in the series! It's a curiosity as it was written before the series had aired and the writer hadn't seen any of it. It holds up okay, it's a shakey start, but Diane Carey did a fine job.

I enjoyed that one Gauda, nice idea to have Geordi centre stage, I think James Blishs Spock Must Die is still my fave, and the Joe Haldeman Treks are great, very different

Gauda Cheese
TNG2 Peacekeepers. I was expecting the characters to be off like they were in Ghost Ship, but so far so good. This also looks like a Geordi/Data adventure so WIN!

TNG3 The Children of Hamlin. Ghost Ship has an interesting place in history, but its horrible due to poor characterisation, Peacekeepers is ok, but CoH is great! half way through and really enjoying it.

Finished the first volume of Star Trek Vanguard called Harbinger. Amazing Trek Lit, if you like TOS era trek, mix in new characters, political intrigue and lots of mystery and action, then read this!

Now reading the Buried Age a TNG book that bridges the gap from Picard losing the Stargazer to just before Encounter at Farpoint. So far this ones also amazing!

The new Reacher novel, Night School. It happens to be the first prequel not written in the first person.

Finished Reacher and it was solid, not bad, but nowhere near one of the good ones. Probably my least favourite prequel novel to boot. The three extra months were spent doing what? There's nothing out of the ordinary here and the page counts same as usual.

Now back to TNG The Buried Age
