Reading "A Wank across Britain: An American's Guide to Visiting the UK" by Mark Pitt and I certainly hope no American actually takes this heavy satire as truth! It's hilarious now, knowing what we know of the UK, but please, no American do what he suggests unless you want a punch in the nose or worse! <grin>

The only one I have ever read was Call of the Wild. I don't know why I have never read more because I remember it very well. A force of life just leapt off the pages. I can understand your reaction. "We're in the centre of a mystical convergence here."

Just started a book called The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. It has a very unusual storyline. Not come across an idea like this in a book. Therefore you have to continue reading.

Reading "The Sea Wolves: A History of the Vikings" by Lars Brownworth. Seeing how I'm Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian now, I had better learn a bit about my ancestors.

Therefore you have to continue reading. Sounds intriguing. Who's it by? I'll see if my Library has got it (or can get it). Meanwhile, I'm reading 'The Name of the Wind' by Patrick Rothfus (my brother's recommendation. In fact, my brother's copy of the book, which I shamelessly purloined). And for the book club - 'Small Island' by Andrea Levy. Twitter: @TravisinaB7
