Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

Ready for episode 3....

The Doctor's game here is: at some point, someone will re-activate the Cybermen, so he wants to be around when someone does.

The daddy of the Cybermen is very tall compared to the Doctor.

Michael Kilgarriff famously never had any lines as the Cyber-Leader despite being best known for his voice! But he did get to read the Target novel for the audiobook range a couple of years ago Grin

He speak lines in "Attack"... unfortunately.

Yes! He makes sure that Kleig and Kaftan succeed because he wants to be present when the tomb is opened. He is directly responsible for every death except the first crewman who tried to open the doors.

Clive Merrison is a much over looked actor; great in so many one off roles, and apparently was extremely good as BBC Radio's Sherlock Holmes for some years.

As good as this story is, it does become a bit capture/escape/capture/escape at this point.

I was trying to remember which order I discovered the Troughton stories in; The Mind Robber was first due to the BBC2 repeat, and I recall having Macra and Fury on cassette tape from early on, but I can't remember what order we bought the videos in.

You'd have thought the Cybermen would have been logical enough to give themselves a back door Grin

A back exit is also a back entrance which, logically speaking, would make the puzzles of the entrance redundant unless you duplicated the whole lot on the other side of the mountain. Of course, everything to do with the Cyberman plot is ridiculous nonsense anyway, so best not to consider things to deeply!

As with my generation, it was:

The Krotons - 1981 (Five faces repeat)
The Three Doctors - 1981 (Five faces repeat)
The Five Doctors - 1983
The Two Doctors - 1985
The Mind Robber - 1992
The Tomb of The Cyberman - 1992 video

And then a load of pirate copies off my friend at University Grin

I think The Three Doctors must have been one of my first Troughton tapes, and I think this was one the first ones I bought too.

Yup, had no-one discovered the Tomb, they'd have been asleep forever Grin
