Now then, some GREAT location work here.... feels a bit like a movie.

Yes, the quarry filming is joked about now but was actually done very effectively by many directors!
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

Some very good characters in this... nice they've decided to give us a new Cybertale this time... instead of a rewrite of the last one.

Such a good story that they made it again with Ice Warriors, Yeti, more Cybermen...

And what a great season it made too!

Don't forget the seaweed... they remade it with seaweed Grin (One of the best stories of the season)

I'm going to the end with this story this morning, watching 3 and 4 from 11am UK time. Because I love it so much!

Yes, the cherry on the icing of the base under siege stories. Sadly missing, but I did enjoy listening to the Target novel read by David Troughton the other day.

The Doctor as manipulator of events didn't start in the McCoy era... it started in Evil and Tomb...

Pat and Frazer were well into such improvisations by then, but I'm surprised that Morris Barry let them get away with it! He had a very strict reputation.

Yes, it made a cracking novelisation and the audio is overflowing with atmosphere. And probably helped by the fact that its weakest aspect, the foam, cannot be seen.

Oh yes, absolutely right. There's some foreshadowing of this Doctor's darker personality in Power of the Daleks and The Macra Terror too...

Have you seen the recovered films from Fury From the Deep? The weed creature was a little bit... erm, ambitious? Grin

Just think, prior to 1992, we wouldn't have had a single story to rewatch from this episode. Now thanks to rediscoveries, plus the animation of Ice Warriors 2 &3, we have four!!!
