Did they blow the Invasion too?

No, I don't think so; the fact that they don't appear until the episode 4 cliffhanger, one of the aspects I love most about it, probably helped in that regard.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

As much as defending the new show wounds me......... Captain Jack?

As much as criticising the new show wounds me equally Grin Captain Jack was as alien to Earth in the 1940s as the Doctor and Rose; he was a time and space traveller already; so he can't really count either!

I thought he was from the 50something century? Greel era?

The animators have gone to the trouble of getting Pat Troughton's eyebrow acting in, which is good!

More enjoyable than it sounds on the audio

Amusing they couldn't extend the Who theme for the animated credits

The early Cybermen looked more scary than those from the 70s

Maybe because they are in B&W?

Tyce
The Cybermen look all sophisticated now.....

Yes, I think you're right; it's hard for me to count him as a character from a different era because he's a fantasy creation from a fantasy time period, like Leela really I suppose but as an advanced intelligence rather than a primitive.

I like them more too, all three of the B&W versions, but B&W does hide faults.

I'm never too sure why Polly says it is a Cyberman when they look quite different from before

Yes! The library tracks from the Cyberman stories was released on CD for the fiftieth, so now I enjoy listening to the music in isolation and visualising the episodes just from the music...

The evil in the universe speech is when I think Pat has finally settled in to the role

I love this speech by the Mighty Trought! "They must be fought!"

First time I saw that speech was the War Games trial.

The Cybermen I don't like at the recent ones. They look like a 'Transformer' or a just a great big clump of metal or something - somehow they don't seem real enough to be scary.

Tyce
A degree in 1888. Yep that would have been helpful - NOT.

I only vaguely remember, because of the throwaway Talons reference.

So you like the modern day era companions best?
