Polly comes up with a plan! And it doesn't involve her making drinks! Oops

I like Polly, because she's clever and smart, and overcomes any prejudice shown towards her. We've missed out her finest moment, "The Highlanders", where she kidnaps an officer and proceeds to blackmail him and wrap him around her little finger.

Polly, the unlikely scientist... Grin
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

I think it goes to show that Cybermen being emotionless was just a myth

Yes, she has climbed further up my 'favourite companion' list more and more over the years! Now she's quite near the top...

It's good to see Ben and Polly working as a team rather than the expected hero rescuing the heroine in distress

Did we just hear the Doctor's inner monologue?

Nice little semi humorous Doctor talking to himself scene. I can't imagine that being played by any other Doctor and getting away with it

Yes, quite unusual. I think it happens again in a story from this season...

Polly reels off the list of acids like she uses them all the time.

Is she secretly a scientist who hides behind the "blonde" facade?

Spaceship Dispatcher
Incidental music previously heard in Out of the Unknown, used in the scene where Ben and Polly use the converted extinguishers.

Listened to The Daleks' Master Plan (including Mission), Power and Evil over the last couple of weeks.

All are terrific stories, in particular Power is an all-time classic, with plenty of good characters, and the Daleks at their most cunning and devious. "I Am Your Servant!!"

Yay, and now Polly won't allow Ben to leave her behind.

Those three Dalek stories are my top 3 too but in a slightly different order to yours. The Daleks exuded menace in the 60s

It is a bit of continuity error! The writers not being given a lot of guidance on the details of the regular characters' backgrounds was in issue brought about by time constraints throughout most of the classic era. However, I don't think it's as big an issue as some fans claim though, because so much of the character is created in rehearsals and on the studio floor by the actors and directors.

She was the secretary of a top notch scientist. It's possible she had some sort of scientific background to pick up that job.

I have been listening to quite a few soundtracks recently too, including Evil the other day. Really enjoyed it!

I'd say Master-Plan is the greatest Dalek story ever.
