The Stahlman Gas aliens remind me a bit of the aliens in Warriors Gate.

Seriously, does anyone here know why the green stuff turns people into werewolves? My family wants to know and I can't even come up with a theory.

Maybe the green goo effects the DNA and causes mutations...

Ooh, that sounds like a winner!

Okay, we have an explanation:

Barry Letts and Terrance Dicks originally planned for the victims of the goo to emerge as Neanderthals, with gene regression being the scientific basis, so well done Paula! Douglas Camfield changed the concept to werewolves because he thought it would look better on screen. Barry Letts, like ourselves, never could work out how the goo would turn people into werewolves!
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

"You'd never get a cat to be a servant. You ever see a cat return a stick? "Hey, man! You threw the stick, you go get it yourself! I'm busy! If you wanted the stick so bad, why'd you throw it away in the first place?"

So, does this all mean that someone within Lethbridge-Stewart is the mindset to turn into the Brigade Leader?

Episode 6 is really strong because, unlike the normal Doctor Who trope, the Doctor is unable to save his friends or even the world itself; he has to flee and leave all the protagonists to die. Almost proto-Blake's 7 in showing something really negative and desperate happening to identification characters.
