THANK YOU for all these great pics, MrsMrOlag! I remember noticing your awesome t-shirt when standing in line :-)

I'm still buzzing too - fandom highs really are the best highs! I didn't get to chat with Paul that much, as he had a constant line of people (he must have been pretty exhausted by end of it), and my brain turned to mush as soon as I got there anyway. I think I just blabbered something enthusiastic, while inside leaping up and down and screaming "squeeeee". I mean, what else is there to say but squeee??

I got to talk with Jacqueline several minutes, which was only about 50% my brain turning to mush and me blabbering. She was so lovely.

Also got to torment Daleks. And so loved meeting various of you, and chatting with other random people there - just the whole atmosphere. Reminded me of what it feels like to actually fit in somewhere... and I'll go to bed before I get all sappy, but I'm sure most of you know what I mean.

Maximum Power
This was one of the most relaxed cons I'd been to.

I'll admit I was shocked when I first saw Paul as I'd no idea he had been ill, let alone that ill and it was great that he was able to be his usual entertaining (and occasionally naughty) self. His panel with Jacks - also on great form - was both poignant and a joy. Thought I's share a few pics of it:

Thank you everyone for posting all these fantastic photos and reminiscences from the event.

It's particularly wonderful to see Paul looking so happy and joyful. I don't seek to put any man on a pedestal but as always you can see why he deservedly remains a fan favourite and a "total legend"!

This is great, MrsMrOlag! It looks like the trooper has caught you smuggling Avon past the authorities and out the exit. Avon looks incredibly cross that his plan hasn't worked!

Ooh Christine I know just what you mean. I was so stiff and awkward with them both. No way could I compose myself to kiss Paul and I too was concious that he must have been exhausted and in pain after such a tiring day😏 felt quite guilty getting him to sign a picture for me late in the day and blushed like a kid! Not a pretty sight.

It's so nice to know who you are Christine. I still haven't clicked who you are in real life Maximum Power but those are great pics! Thank you.
If you're going to Cygnus Alpha we'll have to all wear huge badges with our forum names or meet up at Gary's costumes or something!
And Mrs Gan thanks for spamming! Yep I'm buzzing too.

Great photos Maximum Power, thank you!

I thought Paul looked really well, in himself. Unimaginably difficult life change to have to adjust to, maybe even more so for an actor (given images of society and sex appeal and all that). But if he did have any worries about what anyone's reaction might be (which would be an understandable possible fear), I hope the parade of women kissing him at the photoshoot put them to rest, lol.

I definitely have to look at what's coming up next year and start planning my budget now! Would be great to meet you (and others) again.

Are any of you on twitter? I'm @swefnwynn - mostly very boring, tweet some photos and occasional political or feminist rants but try to avoid them. But I don't do facebook so it's my main way of keeping in touch. So say hi if you're on there! )

Thank you everyone for the amazing photos and reports.

I wish I could have gone myself but too close to my holiday and lack of available leave.

Feels like I got to go through all of you, I'd just like to echo how well both Jackie and Paul look, after all they have both been through they look amazingly well.

Can anyone remember the questions (and answers) during the B7 panel talk.
I'm trying to fix them in my head so that a report can be written about the whole thing....
BTW, the slight technical issue seems to have been sorted by daughter no. 2. Those who attended will know about the problems Dearest had.
Sarah will be coming over to sort out exactly what Dearest managed to get and put it together. It's not a lot, but it will give others a taste of what took place.
I can remember Paul telling everyone exactly what had happened to him...23 days unconcious.
Told by his surgeon that he can no longer smoke, but he can still drink and other things have not been affected....
His friend the Samaritan informing him that he wouldn't make a very good Samaritan at all....
How Uncle Vere wanted to film that clinch in Aftermath...a slowpan down and Servie raising her left foot and the shoe falling off (Paul actually said that Vere was a bit of a prude in these matters Grin) but when he had finished describing the shot he realised that the two people involved had their own ideas..."You're going to do it your own way. Aren't you?" (Or words to that effect!).
The story about Ava Gardner.
How he spent 4 years playing cowboys and indians in space..shooting people with guns!
Oh..and how come Jackie is now living in a 2 up, 2 down house in Bolton with her 4 dogs.
And the very sad news that he has had to find someone to have his lovely dog because he can no longer take her for a walk.
Half an hour was far too short.

Sue there were anecdotes about Terry Nation and visiting his home. The story of the table booked as Lord Darrow. The story of Paul sending up his performance as Tekker because he thought the snake man practising his hisses was pretty absurd. Jacqueline told how she and Paul wanted to ship Servalan and Avon. Paul told about thinking he was auditioning for an engineer role and dressing accordingly and then finding out he'd got the best role. Paul mentioned dark days and bring grumpy. He told how they'd planned to film his story in hospital ( with his nurse played by Meryl Streep) and how he asked for Blades like Oscar Pitorious and was told by the surgeon he could have them but 'not the gun'. How he'd always worked half days so he could look after his Dachund and how she was now looked after by a nice couple ( but he still called it a tragedy...poor Paul)

Most of all he managed to make being in a wheelchair cool and sexy!!

Oh and Sue - he also talked about something he'd pitched and written for BF that was nothing to do with B7. It seemed like an audio drama, had Jacqueline in it, and Paul was to play the leading role - not a hero but a catalyst. He would be working on it next year. And Jax talked about working with John Hurt ( Sir John) at BF Paul revealing he and John Hurt shared a flat when they were both at Rada. I think Paul is to produce an audio version of his autobiography too.

I'm just putting the finishing touches to the B7 talk...well everything that I can remember, and Anniew is filling in some of the gaps. I've just got something to watch, which Daughter no. 2 will put together at some stage, and then I can put the 'talk' on the forum and see if anyone else can add to it.

I'm doing a quick log-in on the run to say thank you to all who attended and shared pics and thoughts on this. I am sooooo jealous that I couldn't join you all and am grateful for your efforts. I will read up on the reports later but just wanted to say...

...well that, really, plus, that it's so fine to see PD & Jacks in full form despite the vicissitudes of life.

Cool
