Down and safe and having a wonderful time. Gary's costumes are amazing and Paul and Jaxs legends as you'd expect! Wow.
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Down and safely home. Had a fabulous day! Paul was on form and Jacks was a 'dahling' Smile

Incidentally she seemed genuinely enthused when I presented her with the photos of MTB 219's restoration.
The foolish reject what they see;
the wise reject what they think.

Got back just in time for Strictly!
Bit of a panic as the old petrol guage went down to 2 bars but managed to get to a petrol station!!!
So lovely meeting everyone;
Anniew's hubby is a star! Got to assist Mr D from the stage and got a handshake and a thankyou.
Mr D on form although some people were in a state of shock as regards him being in a wheel chair...but that didn't stop him saying some very naughty things!!!
Clare is now being mistaken for me! (It's a long story).
I met Jackie outside and we discussed the cold weather and the fact that she is living in Bolton.
I also had a chat to Peter Davison, Peter Purves and Vera Day. This lady was in The Prince and the Showgirl and was telling me all about Marilyn Monroe..and we discussed the fact that she was in the dancehall in Hell Drivers when James Bond amd The Prisoner kicked off and a fight ensued..and she signed my autograph book for Daughter No. 1 whose is MM mad.
Now to get some sleep..it was a long day..............
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!

I've finally registered and not just lurking just so I can add to this-

Was great to see you all and feel so accepted- only my second time seeing the Horizon crew and already feeling like I've been welcomed in so THANK YOU.

I took away with me way more autographs than planned and way more new memories than expected. Still buzzing. Paul a total legend and made me laugh/blush/giggle like a little girl far too many times- the guys still got it! I'll sleep well tonight Wink

I've got some great pics of Paul smiling and signing if anyone is interested, just in the process of editing and uploading so if you want to see I'll post them tomorrow.

Thanks again!

WHAT A DAY!

Such a lovely, moving day, surrounded by friends ( you are all really interesting people!!) and with Ms Pearce and Mr Darrow ( both of whom I was meeting for the first time) just lovely, gracious, brave, honest stars. The B7 panel was just so entertaining and moving that even my husband ( who'd driven me out of love not interest) really enjoyed it and said he'd had a lovely time!! The final panel with the Contradiction crew was great too and I urge everyone on Horizon to buy the game and watch the amazing Mr D ( over and over again in my case - who cares if I solve the mystery) Ms Pearce was incredible - signing, posing, talking, always smiling from start to finish. She's so tiny! Her screen performance is so huge it's really surprising she's so petite. And all I can say about Mr D is that having waited so long to meet him and feeling so incredibly nervous about it, he didn't disappoint for a second. Gary's costumes looked wonderful and it was great to see them displayed so well - they created huge interest. What a day.

I had a lovely time at the con this weekend. I stayed at the Dragonfly hotel (as did Jacqueline Pierce, Paul Darrow and Peter Davidson! Said hello to Jackie when she was outside smoking a fag.) I picked up Horizon member neverends from Gloucester on the way and I met up with some old friends from the Avon Paul Darrow Society, seeing you lovely Horizon lot at the con. The panel with Jacqueline and Paul was so funny - a hoot a second! I also enjoyed seeing the Delorium outside and the many varied and clever costumes of people and of course, Gary's costumes. A big thank you to Gary and Hazel for the amount of time and work it takes to bring and display these amazing costumes at pretty much every event, it's so lovely to see them. It was also nice to finally put a face to Sue's other half and also to meet Annie's hubby.

Hello to all of you I met yesterday! I had a really wonderful time, getting to meet Paul and Jacqueline of course, but also chatting with lots of people who either post here or read. First time I've been to a con, and I'm still floating on air as I got to give Paul a kiss on the cheek. Ahh, my heart's still fluttering! Also got to talk with Jacqueline a bit, and she was absolutely lovely to me (especially as I started to say how much certain things in her autobiography had spoken to me, but started tearing up!).

Most of my snapshots came out blurry, but the most in-focus sequence is quite amusing...

Could almost be a caption contest!

The guys from Contradiction were really, really nice, and very funny, too, even though most people had left by the time they did their panel. Just saw they've uploaded a video of it - https://www.youtu...ATd5S9Ftv8 - they start talking about Paul around 10 minutes in. If you were there, I'm the one who's played it, and and can be heard on the video extolling the range of Paul's deliciousness in it (which I'd have been way to shy to say any of if he'd been in the room!).

I haven't scanned in my photoshoot shot with Paul yet, because ever time I pick it up, I find half an hour's gone by and I'm just gazing at it. I'm sure you can all identify!

Oh, and Paul mentioned he's doing an audiobook version of his autobiography, so that'll be fun.

My head is filled with everything we did yesterday; I hardly know where to start. I will write a full report … but in the meantime, what stands out is the fact there really was something for all fans – young, old(er) and those sandwiched in the middle.

The atmosphere throughout was fun and friendly, while seeing/chatting with everyone from the forums (meeting new folks too) is always a genuine pleasure.

It almost goes without saying that having Paul and Jaqueline in attendance at the event definitely counted as my personal highlight – funny, touching, entertaining, there aren’t enough superlatives.

The guys involved with Contradiction were incredibly enthusiastic and accommodating – a fun, cosy panel to end the day. I highly recommend buying the game, it won’t disappoint. PD’s scenes can be viewed numerous times … surely a great selling point!

“What a day” pretty much sums up Sunday perfectly.

Thank you all, new members and old, for posting your reviews of the con. It's always fun to read what happened and what you all did. Makes us who could not attend feel like we are still part of the loop. Cheers.

Thanks, AnnieW! And thanks littlesue for posting your pics. MrsMrOlag, I'd love to see yours!

Not sure what to do with the second one... If I put it on my living room wall, I'll be constantly distracted by looking at it, and if I put it on my bedroom wall, my boyfriend will be very unhappy if I'm constantly distracted by it.

Considering what Mr D had just said!!!
He was saying a word that made every one smile and it wasn't cheese!
I told him to stop that!!
'That's not what you said last night!' said he..to which I pointed to the man standing in the doorway, "What! That's my husband over there!'
"Oh my gawd, no!" said Mr D, which is why I was laughing so much!!
And I'm afraid I followed Chistine's lead...I kissed Mr D on the cheek!!

@Christine
My dearest has to run the gauntlet of my selection of Avon posters hanging above the stairs...Daughter no. 2 put them in a frame and wanted to hang it in the bedroom...but as you said, that would be rather distracting!!!!

You can really understand why they are TV stars - they are both still so photogenic and attractive! ( I'm talking about Paul and Jacqueline but those who posed with them aren't bad either! ).

And Sue - you are as naughty as Mr D!

My duo picture is too blurry, I'll have to retake the photo of the photo lol. It's not worth posting.

Mostly I have a lot of Paul in sequence while he signed. They all look very similar so I just popped up the best ones. There's a few of the top of his head as he signs, not very interesting!

But yeah- that's pretty much the lot Smile

I never even got into the great little moments we had during this meet- from sharing a video-message I had recorded at Blackpool Comic-Con from Julian Glover for JP and Paul, and him translating for Jacks because she couldn't hear it when I played it to her (we wised up and gave Paul headphones and that worked a treat) to his comments about his "grumpy face on [my] chest" and the strange humming sound he made when I sat down which made me crack up. I cannot express how much I'm still buzzing!
