Any one planning to go to this? Guests include Jaqueline Pearce and Paul Darrow. I am indebted to Meegat39 for reminding me about this.

Yep. I've booked in and got my husband to take me. Can't wait.

Not at the moment, as it would require booking two days of work, but I'll see nearer the time...
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

I will at least be buying entry and photoshoot tickets shortly ... don't want to miss out on those! Probably 9am early bird entry since I wouldn't want to miss out panel opportunities either.

Now I still have to look at public transport options and possibly arriving/staying overnight on the 24th Oct, since it's quite a distance from London and I'm not entirely sure I could get there for 9am.

Anyone else travelling to this event from London? I like travelling companions! Grin

I'm thinking of going Mistletoe. But it's £100 return on the train, so I think I'll probably drive. Either way, I'll go up the night before and stay in a hotel as it's such a long way. Would be great to have a get together with like minded peeps that night! Where are you thinking of staying?

Mistletoe/ Meegat - have booked into Peterborough Central travel Lodge for this event for the Saturday. We could all meet up and squeeze into our car after breakfast and get to the convention by 9.00. Then a mad dash for forum tickets! What do you reckon?

It sounds good to me Mistletoe! I would have to check if I've got a "pass" from the family, but I'm liking that idea Grin

Daughter No. 2 and I are thinking about it.
It will take us about 3 hours to drive up there, barring any traffic delays.
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.

Annie/Meegat

Since Jenna refuses to operate the teleport and I don't drive, it'll have to be public transport! I will be going ahead with booking early entry and photoshoot tickets to Movie Fest.

I plan on heading to Peterborough on the 24th Oct (staying overnight is the only way.) It's in my nature to have all the (i's) dotted and the (t's) crossed ... but equally with just under three months to the event, anything can happen in the way of guest cancellations. Not saying they will (and by they I mean PD and JP) but such is the nature of these things and I've been in this game a long time; I'll hold off on committing to a hotel until Aug/Sept.

My preference will be Peterborough Central Travel Lodge (I did check out the hotel link on Movie Fest Site), there are several in the vicinity, but Travel Lodge would be ideal since yes, it would be great to be at the same hotel and possibly travel together the following morning. If that hotel isn't available then I'll book another close by, and it'll still be doable (not to mention enormous fun) to meet up with you both the same night as well as making that mad dash for panel tickets the following morning.

You're a sweetheart, Annie! It'll be great to see you and Meegat again! Grin

I'm seriously thinking of coming, but have to get clearance at home yet! Childcare, and all that.
I would drive, and although AA route finder says its only 1 hour 56 minutes from Sheffield I am sceptical-probably more 2 hours 15, depending on traffic on the notorious A1. Overnight stay the night before is not possible.
Do you think if I arrive by 11am I will have missed the party? I would like to have photoshoots with Paul and Jacqueline, and attend any B7 talks. I can book the shoots in advance, but can't say when I will get there.

Still thinking about this. It is a long haul up from Locks Heath. Even a Travel Lodge would cost money...
.....mind you, having just seen the amazing picture of Mr D on Facebook, complete with a pint in one hand and looking soooo happy, I'm really inclined to join you all.

Ticket now bought for 10am entry. No chance of getting there earlier.

Would like to do photoshoots with Paul and Jacqueline, so hoping there is online advance booking or they will be all gone by the time I get there.

Peterborough – TV and Movie Fest
Dinner at Premier Inn on Saturday 24th October.

I’ve finalised my Peterborough plans with a hotel booking at the Premier Inn, Peterborough North.

As previously discussed on this thread, for anyone else arriving on the 24th October, there will an opportunity to socialise with fellow Horizoners.

The plan has evolved from pub to restaurant since this way we’ll be able to eat, drink; fun conversations with great company, and still be fresh the following morning in order to attend the event in a timely manner without yawning in front Paul and Jacqueline Grin

I will be booking a table at the hotel Restaurant on Friday 16th October. Dinner at 6pm. The hotel advises at least a weeks’ notice to ensure table availability and 6pm gives everyone the chance to arrive, rest, find the hotel and build a healthy appetite.

Please send me a PM to let me know if you’re planning on joining us for dinner at the Premier Inn. I will need to know by Thursday 15th October.

The Premier Inn is close to everyone’s chosen accommodation; near to where those are staying at Travelodge. It’s 1.1 mile(s) from the Cresset theatre, and 2.8 miles from Peterborough Railway Station. Premier Inn directions are available on their website – sat-nav etc, and the hotel is on the left opposite Morrisons.

I’m adding in the hotel’s full address because there are other Premier Inns within the area and I wouldn’t want anyone to get lost.

Premier Inn
Peterborough North,
1023 Lincoln Rd,

Peterborough
Cambridgeshire
PE4 6AH

Premier Inn #for anyone wanting to book – 0871 527 8876

There are other hotels available: Follow hotel links on the Tenth Planet Website (event information link on Horizon Home Page.)

I look forward to hearing from anyone arriving on 24th October; hope you will be able to join us for dinner – the more the merrier!

I'm really, really thinking about going mad and joining all of you...but it is so far for me. Driving is over 3 hours and the train is even more...and then I have to change several times!
I so enjoyed meeting all of you at RTGP3...
Where's that teleport when you need it?

Sue, yes, it'll be great if you can make it; a continuation of the conversations we all shared at RTGP3 Grin

@Neverends: Pop me a PM if you would like to be added to the dinner list - you're very welcome!

Anniew has offered to pick me up from Horsham and take me to Peterborough...I'm just waiting to see if daughter No. 2's significant other can get me a cheap train ticket (he's a train driver!!!) and then I think I may join Anniew at her lodging place as well...I just hope that Mr D will be attending and then I can get a lovely picture of me and him...seeing as it never occurred to me to get one back in the 80's and I waited until 2013 at the Cinema thing.
Then I just need a few pennies for food......
