Do people have a favourite set? For a series often criticised for its sets I think there are some great ones: the Mellanby subterranean home, Duel's remembrance 'graveyard', and Servalan's office in the Blake-era among them. I guess I'd have to nominate the Liberator as the most important one with its central 'stage' and diverting corners.
Vila: Where are all the good guys?
Blake: You could be looking at them. Avon: What a depressing thought! |

So many. I love Scorpio. moloch corridors. The tracking gallery. The set for Redemption ( not the room with the weird computer ladies but the rest of it.) love the theatre for Le Grand's meeting and how it's used. ( but not much else in that episode). I love the weird garden in Shadow where the moon discs dwell. Cygnus Alpha - got to love it. Love the exteriors for Volcano. I actually like the Decima planet with the round balloons. The court room in Trial. Yes you've guessed it - can't sleep hence the babbling. Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Liberator, flight deck gothic masterpiece, wonderful, like the statue set in Duel, all those broken swords...the abandoned mission control in deliverance |

The Mellenby subterranean home was very well done, albeit not including the very high ceilings and the curtains all around. And even though it was more than a bit bizarre and tacky, I liked the Gambit sets too. The casino with the curtains and streamers of metallic foil and all the extras in fancy dress plus Krantor and Toise-eerie. I guess it had to be bizarre looking to convey the seemliness of it all. I did want to mention a set in Harvest of Kairos. The flight deck of Servalan's ship. Why did it have a couch on it? Just so Jarvik could thrown Servalan onto it? Sticks out a bit, but otherwise an ok set. Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.
