You'll probably have the prime locale then...according to the forecast there are going to be rain showers!

Had a very nice couple of hours at this lovely little event this morning. What amazing models! And always a delight to see so many people enoying the shows and the clever miniature work ... particularly with so many people in costume (in terms of TV cons, cos play seems to be so much more acceptable these days than it ever was a couple of decades back). And in particular, very nice indeed to see a lot of old friends which brought back some very happy memories. Hopefully do this event again in years to come. Smile

All the best

Great to see you guys again and what a superb turnout; of punters and pitches alike! Sorry to abandon you all to the deluge, but I got summoned back to a minor domestic crisis that turned out to be so minor, I wish I hadn't bothered, dammit! AND we drove all the way back absolutely saturated from the storm Oops

ClaireB, I'm so sorry I didn't get to talk to you at all. I was hoping to go over plans for September's outing. Still, such fun to go to an event like this, I shall certainly be back. Thanks to all those who worked so hard to get it all together, and I hope you got a respite to get your gear packed in comparative dryness.

Cool

Lovely day and thanks to all the B7 friends I met, old and new for making me feel so at home. Lovely models and I got to hold two liberator guns and pat K9. Examined the baco foil costume closely ( perhaps even a bit too closely). Hugged Roy Kinear ( AKA Gary). Really enjoyed it. Thanks to all those who organised such fantastic displays.

And I have THAT picture of you inspecting THAT part of the costume really closely...but it was all for a perfectly legitimate reason..to see the label inside so that we (Annie and I) could find out what material the trousers were made from !!!

First thing I was told yesterday as I turned up: Daughter No 2 informed me that her mother had been touching up Clanger68's trousers Wink Grin Grin

Clanger68 wasn't wearing them at the time though (before he gets into bother with Clanger Too !!) Grin
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

C68 was an innocent bystander Grin

Someone else was the costume model, and iirc it was Annie who was the culprit rather than Sue...

Oh Trevor- sorry I missed you too. I'd promised Tom ( my husband) only to stay 2hrs and to explore the places where we used to live in Bedfordshire on the way home.

As for trouser-touching - I admit that it was a little out of line given I'd only just met Clanger68- but it was in the spirit of examining how the costume was made - honest!

Sue - I'll give money if you destroy the picture!

Enjoying reading your mini reports - it sounds like you all had fun! Grin

We did Mistletoe and I discovered I'd been wrong about the purple silk underwear. Apparently the underpants were leather! ( I'm not sure whether this is cannon but it'll do me!)

And Sue and PC it was so nice to finally meet you and your families !

This is a case of The Wrong Trouser Wearers and apparently it wasn't Clanger68's trousers. They were worn by a lovely man who told me his name twice and I'm ashamed that I've forgotten it ! Especially after he allowed me to hug him in costume ( the nearest I'll get to hugging Avon! ) and didn't object when I assaulted him in the interests of research.

By the by for those not in the know - the baco foil costume is made of really soft, silver leather. I expect you all knew that, but I didn't!
