I too don't use SatNav - I pride myself on being able to read maps!

Enjoyed yesterday very much, looking forward to seeing you all again at R2GP-3

Glad to hear that I'm not the only person still resisting the SatNav. I carry paper maps in the glove box. Part of my cynicism about the technology comes from the fact most systems don't give accurate directions to my house. If I don't make a point of giving people the correct directions I end up getting a phone call from someone who is lost on the other side of town Sad

We have Sat Nav, although we don't have the Brian Blessed version, which we would have loved- but the blasted machine tries to make you use alternative routes to save time. Or if you are really lucky, it will pack up just when you need it the most. We use it but try and scout out our destination on the internet first just in case. Guess we should call our Sat Nav 'Orac'.
Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.

I, for one, sympathise, Meegat. SatNavs have their place alongside maps and neither can be deemed 100% perfect. I blame myself for not leading you onto the main drag. After all, it was my short-cut that probably threw the thing out of whack. Happy

It was a pretty shortcut, though, considering we were at the outer galactic fringe!

No word from CB or Scott. Hope the boar didnít get themShockAngry

No it's definitely not your fault. I shouldn't rely on technology so much!! Was great being in your neck of the woods anyway Grin I think CB has checked in earlier on the thread but Scott will be okay, he was armed with a mighty weapon - apple sauce!!

We have a Sat nav and are also armed with maps...and always listen to the travel news on the radio.
We once came up the M4 and found ourselves in a massive traffic jam...cue map books...off at the very next junction and across country...the sat nav was almost screaming at us 'Please perform a U turn!...NOW!!'
We also deliberately set a course on the thing and then go the route we want to go...it goes crazy then!!!!!
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!
