I'm on the scene with Avon and Cally. I love the dialog.
What is it?
It's a door and it's closed.

"You'd never get a cat to be a servant. You ever see a cat return a stick? "Hey, man! You threw the stick, you go get it yourself! I'm busy! If you wanted the stick so bad, why'd you throw it away in the first place?"

The one thing I would change with this episode, would be to have Dayna as the warrior and Tarrant as the musician. I'm sure Steven Pacey would have liked to sing Wink

Six minutes in and no dialogue. Rare!

And a very bold move. I doubt modern TV would have such a thing.

Me too. 'The Suits' would have a collective heart attack at the mere suggestion. Modern viewers would probably think time had stopped.

This is an episode where the subtext eventually becomes the text Wink

"Its like nothing I've ever seen before."
I wonder if they were mocking Star Trek?

"you worked it all out very fast" Avon knows that Cally has a telepathic link to the scene...
GARETH THOMAS: Paul is a very generous man, as a human being and as an actor. The programme couldnít have been made if we hadnít got on. Our working relationship was magic.

I'm having visions of what would have happened if Vila had touched the ring first.Grin

Josette is gorgeous in this.

There might be a giant chocolate bunny inside.
There was a young man
From Cork who got Limericks
And Haikus confused.

What do you think the subtext means? Is there a consensus?

Eventually, but in context of this ep, I think it refers to a prediction of death for the Alien, as all the other images were supposed to be her 'servants' and pets.
