If Sarah was a move forward as a companion, then Leela is a giant leap. Trust Hinchcliffe and Holmes to come up with something so bold.

The fact they were leaving probably made the risk easier. I don't think we would seen such a bold move with a regular character in season 12...

Not that it turned out as a risk, because Louise worked out okay.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

I was a few months away from my 4th birthday when this was transmitted, but I always get a strange feeling watching this, Robots Of Death and Talons, of some very faint memories.

I definitely remember Leela leaving at the end of Invasion Of Time.

I didn't get to see it until the mid 80s late one night on PBS. I was channel surfing, thank goodness. Happiest discovery of my life.

Was that McCoy's first year? If so, ditto. Although I don't think it was McCoy's fault.

I thought Hinchcliffe only really knew he was going during Talons, hence his spending money with reckless abandon on that tale.

Decision wise maybe, but I can't imagine Philip and Bob made such a decision without thinking about it and discussing it.

I never completely warmed to McCoy, but he wasn't the one to blame... you're right there.

Saward and JNT have to take the blame for the mess of Season 23 and the subsequent 'bare cupboard' for Season 24.

Andrew Cartmel got things sorted back out for Season 25, although it took Season 26 until everything really gelled.

Ah, the Cartmel master plan. An improvement, but I still didn't like it. Hand of Omega...rolls eyes.
