No talking cabbage? (Tom Baker's suggestion for his new companion. JNT eventually obliged with Adric).

Talking cabbage=Adric. Only the cabbage would have had more charisma.

Quite a few Blake's 7 casting connections in this story with Leslie Schofield, Tom Kelly, Pamela Salem, Max Faulkner and Stuart Fell.

Here goes then:

* This is the first-ever TV script from future Blake's 7 script editor and writer Chris Boucher. It impressed DW script editor Robert Holmes so much, that Boucher was also commissioned to write the very next story, The Robots Of Death.
* Plus Robert Holmes, the script editor of this story, also went on to write four episodes of B7.

this is a remake of ZARDOZ! Love the story though, one of my faves

Alas the VCR destroyed my tape...hope I find it on Hulu or something. It's one of the first Whos I ever
saw if I remember correctly.

Good afternoon/evening everyone and Paula and TT and SD.
Poor Adric, no one likes him...Sad

ZARDOZ? Any excuse to see a nearly naked Sean Connery! But get rid of the pony tail.

The section of deleted/alternate scenes and outtakes is really interesting, with part of the feature edited together to demonstrate how single camera filming works. Watching it, I feel even more strongly that Louise was trying almost to hard to play Leela as a character rather than just getting stuck into the drama; there's the odd glimpse of her in costume but as herself, and it doesn't look as 'wrong' as you might think.
